Derby Action

At the most recent prices, DCC was fast developing a strong stench of elitism. If there is going to be Derby in the future, rooms and food should be available at reasonable costs -- if not at the tournament facility itself at least within reasonable proximity. When I think about DCC at EW, I remember a very mixed demographic of people who truly loved pool -- slick northerners, southern rednecks, western cowboys, and inner-city gangbangers -- all united by mutual love of this very special thing. . . . and, then there was the kid who was sleeping in the cabinets of the AZB Room he wanted to be at the DCC so bad. Attendance might be inhibited by cost but never prohibited.

If it is going to be a Johnston City/EWDCC type event, the first thing is one must forget about casinos. Mississippi casinos will never allow unregulated side action which was the hallmark of DCC. No other state regulated casino will either.

I don't know how it was managed in Indiana.

He will keep doing that until someone "corrects" him.

yep. another thing after that match was when a certain player with a known drinking problem passed out on two chairs there. reyito walks up to him, not to help him, but to make the v-sign and take a selfie with him in the background. just a low class, crap person

Is that the same guy that has his crew with him at SBE? If so, I can't believe he hasn't been barred...or worse

Well Casino’ & Pool Room’s are place that attract all sorts of people.

Good, Bad, and everything in between.

With the two streamed action rooms at DCC the last few years -- PoolActionTV and Omega -- the bigger action that used to cluster around tables in the DCC action room seems to have wholely gone in to those two streamed rooms, leaving mostly average players in the DCC action room. It was funny thins year, as the gambling crowds flowed from PoolActionTV to Omega and back, depending on where the perceived big money moved. A lot of that used to be in the DCC action room in the past -- especially of course at the E West, before there were any separate action rooms. Honestly I think it is that, more so than a drop off in action. Maybe its also top players pulling back -- saving their energy for the tournament??

Gorst, Filler, maybe Shane and Chohan made $$$ last week, everybody else was probably lucky to break even.

Dunn is obnoxious and hyper as a jack rabbit. He is playing better and still trying to act like he is a B player. Carl will lose every dollar he has if he doesn't get serious weight, but now he's just a mark.
And for some reason he has a legion of people who follow and bet on him.
