The line up of matches on Monday will be ...
Jason Miller vs Tony Coleman
John Brumback vs Larry Nevel
Truman Hogue vs David Matlock
Francisco Bustamante vs Gerald Reichle
Darryl Abernathy vs Ed Ames
Steve McCaninsh vs Dave Hemmah.

The only players left with buybacks are Bustamante, Matlock and Miller.

Pick the winner

Every single player listed has a shot at winning the Banks tournament. However, I placed a small wager on The Maverick, Dave Matlock! :)

He's been making the rounds as of late, and I believe he's got a shot at winning the whole shebang. Plus, he's still got an ace up his sleeve with a buyback, just in case he may need to use it. ;)

David is one of the most knowledgable pool players around who plays all games at a championship level, even 3 cushion. I believe he knows over 40 different diamond kicking systems. That must help in his bank game. David is a 'different' type of player cause I have seen him many times & never in a woofing match trying to get a game. Probably because it wouldn't do much good as most wouldn't want to try to play him. A quiet guy but if you ever get the chance to talk to him & take the lead in the conversation, you can learn a lot once he gets to talking. His ex father in law, Bobby Baldwin, told me once that when David was a bit younger & gambling more that they went out on the road together for two months once & he literally didn't see David miss a ball the entire time, either while in action or practicing. I looked at Bobby like he was crazy & he said again that he was completely serious on this fact.

I am glad to hear that he is doing well in Louisville so far & also pulling for him.

Hey, how 'bout the way I pick 'em! Matlock was the nuts at 14-to-1 odds. Now I've got me 2,900 V-chips, thanks to The Maverick.

Below is another David Matlock photo taken at the 2004 Glass City Open with Mark Jarvis, who is also competing at the Derby! I heard from my sources (LOL) that Mark Jarvis was shooting 'em down left and right at JOB's Music City Open a few weeks ago. At the GCO, Mark Jarvis donated his time to the Challenge the Pro charity table and loved every minute of it. He took a hiatus from pool and is now back on track and in full swing.

Congratulations to David Matlock for a very nice win! I hope he's in the running for the All-Around Champion this year at the DCC. If he does well the in the one-pocket and 9-ball events, he's got a shot at it! :)

I won 350 myself betting on him...not bad eh? He has been shooting good and to me, it was his to win. Now for the one pocket event!

Shorty

Sweet win!

Bout time I won with some odds using Vbookie...definately a steal at 12/1 or whatever it was.

I'll say, very good call, I'll take 14/1 on a guy that shoots the bank that well in a bank match anyday.
Thanks for the reassurence on a excellent call.
