Derby city so few Pros

If you mean rigged upstairs gambling, hookers and people getting robbed you're right. People tend to overlook some of the shit that went on at the EW hotel. Its never going back to how it was. That has nothing to do with why fewer pros play. If they would seed the 9b and ditch the buyback they'd get WAY more touring pros. Its become sort of a antiquated event.
Brother, as much as I miss it, you're absolutely right about it never going back to the way it was. There was a sweet spot where it was a nice mix of a tournament and debauchery. But it was getting a little too crazy there towards the end. There were too many people showing up who had zero interest in the pool side of it and their only intent was to literally rob someone.

The only important question is, has anyone seen Strong Arm there? Is he still holding Jeanette's cue for her while she gambles?

I am on light duty for a while and was thinking about purchasing access to the DCC but since the pay options didn't suit me I passed. Now I don't think I even care. I did not realize it wasn't like years past when anyone who was anyone was there. Oh well...

Adios.

The Derby isn't really about the pros. It's about the high level amateurs testing themselves and potentially being able to play a big name. That and the action. As has been mentioned before, there are a number of pro players not at this event, but all three tournaments filled up and had long waiting lists. Player attendance won't really ever be an issue with the Derby, no matter who complains about it.
