Deuel - illegal breaks at Super Billiards Expo 10ball - Kiamco not calling a foul!!!

I just watched the Deuel vs Kiamco match at Super Billiards Expo 2013 -10 ball. Deuel was soft breaking and pattern racking (not that surprising). What I find really hard to believe is that Kiamco wasn't calling a foul on Deuel. To make a legal "Open break" you must pocket a ball or cause 4 object balls to contact a rail. Check out the Youtube video.

Definite Fouls around 1:13:00, 1:25:00, 1:34:00, 2:32:00 as only 3 balls hit the rail. At 1:52:00 I couldn't tell if the 4th ball (the 7) contacted the bottom cushion.

Also check out the breaks where Deuel managed to get 4 to a rail. The table looks almost the same every time with the pattern racking and the soft break. Boring!!!

He may not have been paying that close attention or have know the rule. I often have to ask about breaking rules in tournaments and would break from the rail when the rule was break from the box till someone told me. I think in on of the Joss tour stops I played in I broke from the rail half a set till the opponent realized it and told me it was break from the box.

Break

I thought I read something that Allen made a change and said no balls had to hit a rail after the break for the 2013 tourney.

Corey sharked himself in that match by playing that break. He is good enough to beat Kiamco with a normal break. I'm not sure why he tried that

He was down 7-2 in the match before, I believe...in the tie-breaking set, too. He started soft breaking and he ended up outsmarting his opponent to win 8-7.

Hopefully someone has more info about Allen possibly changing the standard "Open Break" rule.

Maybe Kiamco liked what he saw. Not much of a risk of Deuel break & running out or leaving himself an easy combo on the 10 with that soft break.

Deuel has enough firepower to win with a normal solid break.

I was watching a World Pool final between Alex P and I think Fong, not sure of the year. Alex was switching between the soft and hard break several times, the funny thing is that he seemed to be making balls each way, he'd win a few racks breaking one way, then all of a sudden switch to a soft break.

sorry, I must be thinking of a different match. I saw a video of him doing this against Kiamco and he lost.

Kiamco would have liked it more if he was taking Ball in Hand after the fouls.
