DFW AZBer's get together May 6th.

Is there a Sunday league or tournament at Volcano's? I know there's a Saturday 8-ball tournament.

Yep, there is an 8 ball tourney at 7pm on Sunday nights. I was planning to play but it looks like I'll be there Saturday this week.

And as I type things change again & I could make either of them! Wow, I'm spoiled for choice!!:D
 
Just so everyone else is aware, Maniac is way better than he tells us! He beat me & 2 of my league teammates tonight. First time I've ever seen players beg for mercy over a pool table! It was a slaughter!

OK, I may be overdoing it a bit. He plays some good stuff, better than he gives himself credit for. Add to that he's a damn fun guy to meet! The more AZBer's I meet the more I know we're all gonna be in for a good day on the 6th!

I can't wait.:D

Good timing. They actually just replaced a bunch of house cues last week. Even though I have not been using them, they can't be that bad if they are brand new. So you should be OK.

Does the pool room open at 11am or is that just the time to meet? I am still trying to make my decision...with Vegas the following week it might be good practice if I play.

I believe that's the opening time, Donovan may know for sure but I'll find out on Wednesday & let everyone know on here.

TxOnePocket & Melinda, sorry to hear you can't make it but with any luck this could be the first of many get togethers. Good luck in your respective tourneys this weekend!
 
What's the chance any of you might bring your wife/husband/signifigant other to the meet & shoot tourney this Sunday? I am curious as my wife mentioned to me that she may tag along this Sunday. If I told her no, she might suspect that I've got a mistress or something :rolleyes: . Anyway, I figure if we need one more shooter to fill the bracket, we could at least throw her to the dogs :D . She's an APA SL3 but shoots a level higher on many occaisons. Y'all post and let me know please.

I'd be more than happy if my wife came along, but she's not a pool fan. It's a shame because when she does play she can sink the balls pretty well.

I'm hoping she'll give me a ride to Volcano's so maybe she'll say hi!

Hell yeah, she can come along....AND WE'LL ALL TELL HER WE HEARD YOU WERE USING THIS AS A SCAPEGOAT NOT TO GET CAUGHT. LMAO!!!!

I ask my fiancé if she would be dropping by for lunch, but she said she doubted it. I will tell he your's might be coming and maybe she will change her mind.

The owner said we could use 4 tables at half price for our get together, so that should be a pretty good deal. I can't wait!

I sure hope we get some decent weather Sunday. Seems like lately, every time I head out to the poolhall it's under a tornado warning, with it hailing/thunderstorming and the like. Maybe they oughta change the name of the place we're meetin' Sunday from Volcano's to Tornado's :D :D :D !!!

It's supposed to be sunny & hot on Sunday, not that it'll matter much to us. Mind you, it'll be nice being able to drive more than 10mph on the way there & be able to see where you're going!!!
