The sign in the front window says "#1 Pool Room In The USA For 2008 by Billiards Digest"

Given the above, it makes sense that they have nothing but Diamond tables, each table has the Aramith TV balls and every one has a Diamond light fixture. None of these things come cheap. So you see they went out of their way do do everything right.

But the bad news is that it may well be that the way the tables look, they have not been re-covered in years. Hell it may be that long since they were cleaned. There are "dust bunnies" under the cushions!

Hard to imagine how this place got from where it was in 2008 to where it is now.

The food is good there and they have a friendly staff, I hope they are able to stay in business as they have a nice place to shoot pool. Played there once a week or so, but bought my own table in august and just don't go there anymore to shoot, but I still go for the food.............

It was the same when I played there 2 years ago. Could be they are old dust bunnies.
Interesting score beads... they use practice golf balls with rods running thru the holes.

That being said.. I did like the room. The tables and balls were okay.. cloth was worn.
.

they probably found their clientele were just drinkers and bangers and not real pool players. and they were making money off the other things rather than the pool so let the tables go and not waste money on them.
thats pool of the future folks.

Probably just another sign pool is dying, like maha said, most bangers don't care if the cloth is slow...

It's a great room. However, two things need to happen to the tables in the back. A good vacuum, and then a good rub with hot wet towels. And this needs to occur regularly.

The blue cloth tables up front are obviously newer cloth, but they'll suffer too, if they're not cleaned often.

Get it?
