Nothing beats a Brunswick Gold Crown for playing consistency.
Really?...then why am I aways fixing GC's to play right/better all the time?
maybe because there are hundreds of them that have been abused for a hell of a long time?

I'm just messing with him, I fix up just about as many Diamond's as well, but every time someone makes a statement like that....it just grabs my attention to ask...why?...give me an example of what you just said, and explanation of some kind....LOL

I've played on all 3, although only a small amount on the Diamonds. (All GC's in my area). I do think the blue plays slightly different than the red, but still quite different than a GC. The cue ball comes off the Diamond rail a bit faster than it does on a GC. The thing is, it does not happen all the time and at all angles. Sometimes it seems to come off the rail the same as a GC, and sometimes faster. I can't quite figure out why this is.
Note 1: I'm just an intermediate level player.
Note 2: I'm talking about GC's with good rubber, not rubber that is in bad condition.
Why did Diamond redo their rails to play more like a GC??
I think the way a table plays is relavent to what you play on or have played on for years. GC and Diamonds both play great, just a little different from each other. If you have played on a Gold Crown for years, you think the Diamond is off and vice versa. Who is to say which is better than the other? It all comes down to your perspective.
