Diamond Lights

Light arrived yesterday and I will be putting itup some time this (depending on my"helper"). I will post a pic and let everyone know how it comes out. Thanks again for the help.

I finally opened the light and there are no hardware to hang the thing. What do I need to install to my ceiling?

We attached the light to the ceiling as RKC suggested and it looks great. All I need to do now is some drywall touch up. The light is great for the table, but I am going to put in some recessed lights so you can see the rest of the room too. Once all this is done I will post a pic. Thanks for all of your help and suggestions. You guys really made this easier than I anticipated. You guys are talented for sure. Thanks.

How big? I'm not greedy...I'd take $10's or $20's. I'll PM you my address so you can start sending those bills! ;)

BTW - did you catch my post on the neons?

To hang a Diamond light flush to the ceiling, get 4ea 1/4" toggle bolts, the kind with the butterfly nut/washer on the end, comes with a 1/4" screw. Throw away the screw, get you a 1/4" threaded rod, cut it into 5" lengths. This is going to be the hard part, and you'll need some of your friends for this one. Hold the light to the ceiling, then from inside the light, mark the 4 mounting holes through the light frame to the ceiling. Now, drill the holes out, mount the toggle bolts with threaded rods in each. Lift the light back up to the ceiling, being careful to guide each rod through the light cross members, then add a washer and nut to each rod, tighten the nuts and there you have it, mounted to the ceiling:wink:

Can you do this with the Brunswick GC light (i.e. flush mount)?

Also, might it be easier to make a paper template to transfer the mounting holes to the ceiling?
