Hi what is the pockets size of diamond table? I refer in particulary to the tournaments tables.
Does the pockets size changes depending on the events? For example at the usopen the pockets are tighter than the ones used at galveston?
thank you.

I'm pretty sure all tournaments that use 9ft pro-ams have pro-cut pockets. 4.5 inches at opening.

This is right.

As far as whether they vary from event to event, I believe they always try to set them up the same way, but every pocket will play slightly differently, and humidity/temperature/cloth condition will have an effect on how tough a pocket plays even if the tables are set up identically.

slh,

It is my understanding the Diamond "Pro" cut pockets are 4 7/16" at the rail tips with a 17 degree undercut. Two ball will just fit in the opening.

Balls are 2.25" so how do two get through anything less than 4.5"? Is it because the height at which the Diamond Pro pocket width is 4 7/16 is not at 1 1/8"?

I would go one farther in that Diamond Pro Cut tables like used at DCC definitely do not pass two balls by any stretch of the imagination.

Sorry just realized your talking about the very opening being 4.5, with the throat being much less. My mistake.
