Been on the phone with Diamond a few times, but after a while calling them asking why there has been no resolution to the Dymondwood situation, it gets old.
This has been an ongoing problem for 2 1/2 years since the fire.
It's just nice that they have a new vendor for when I order my table after the addition to my home is complete.
How far in advance the table needs to be ordered is still TBD.
Good morning WGDave, BogeyFree, Kevin3824 & Electron Mover.
Some of you met with me in the Diamond booth at the Expo which was a great event.
I was happy to meet you guys as well as other members who stopped by for visit.
Here's the truth regarding Dymondwood and Dymalux.
As many of you are aware the Dymondwood manufacturers factory had a fire and has not returned to production.
This Dymondwood wasn't produced by Diamond Billiards so you can expect how disappointed Diamond Billiards was to learn this material was no longer available.
Since learning Dymondwood would no longer be available Diamond Billiards has been working with other wood manufacturers and materials to produce tables with the same durability as Dymondwood.
Black PRC (Phenolic Resin Composite) was the first material offered on the Diamond Smart, Pro Am and Professional tables.
This material offers you the same durability as Dymondwood however it's only available in Solid Black (no wood grain).
I have customers call me on a weekly basis asking me for the Charcoal color that many of you have seen in person or pictures on line.
The Charcoal color was a Dymondwood product no longer available.
Dymalux Rosewood is currently being vigorously tested and was showcased at the Super Billiard Expo this year as BogeyFree mentioned.
Dymalux Rosewood is scheduled to be available for purchase fall 2017.
I agree the wait until the fall is difficult however Diamond Billiards wants to make sure this material is perfect as with all their tables.
Quality and performance is why players invest in Diamond tables so you expect the best and Diamond want to give you the best.
I'm positive it will be worth the wait if your looking for that beautiful rosewood finish in Dymalux.
The Rosewood finish is currently available in Oak or Maple.
WGDave I'll request a picture of the Diamond Pro Am in Dymalux Rosewood and post it on this thread when received.
The Dymalux Rosewood will be included in the base price of the Smart and Pro Am tables.
The Professional table would have a option to upgrade to Dymalux however will cost extra. (estimated $400).
WGDave When the fall arrives and the Dymalux Rosewood becomes available the light will match the table however will not be Dymalux Rosewood and would be an Oak light stained Rosewood to match.
Black PRC or Dymalux Rosewood are only produced for a tables top rail and side skirts.
Standard Table legs and lights are oak stained to match your table.
I can understand your frustration waiting for the Rosewood Dymalux to be available to order.
DGDave If you contact me with your name, phone number and email I can keep you updated until the Dymalux Rosewood is available.
