We bought a used Diamond Pro table for the pool room and were thinking about replacing the rails but are not sure what rails to buy. Any suggestions? Diamond says to buy the new rails, i think they are call smart rails? The players around town say they like the way the old Diamond rails play. I hear that accu fast rails are the best but who knows? Any info. would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Biz

Diamond tables use a K55 profile, Accu Fast is K66. Diamond uses Artemis rubber that they bring into the states on their tables. You should order it direct from them.

Is there such a thing as their "old" rails and "new" rails or are they the same stuff?
On the early tables they used their own rubber that they had made. It went bad after a short time, I think it was from overseas. Now they are useing German rubber that is alot better.

PM me if you need anything else.

When I talked to a Diamond rep back in Vegas way back when, he said they were using Championship blue label cushions ( I believe the model was called Regal ). The tip of the rubber was a 1 29/64th inches according to him.

A couple months ago Diamond came and replaced my rubber that had gone bad and the above information matches what I was told by their mechanic.

I'd recommend the new rubber from Diamond. It plays very nicely.

Don't forget to order it with the Pro pocket cut.

Maybe I'm too American-centric, but isn't Germany "overseas" from Diamond ??

From personal experience.. I will attest to the fact that the "new" rails from Diamond are much better. I would certainly suggest getting them directly from them. You'll be happy you did.;)

Maybe I'm being Euro-centric, but your hesitant grasp of geography is extremely encouraging. Well done.
