Diamond slates

Gotta friend with a 3 pc. diamond pro. The slates have lifted far enough to leave a ridge at both seams. He has a tech coming over to put new cloth on it and fix the slates at the same time. Only problem is I don't think he has ever done a diamond table. I looked at the wedge system that diamond has and it seems pretty straight forward but I don't know so that's why I'm here. I also would like to know whats the best way to seal the seams. Wax, bondo ? You input will be appreciated. Don

Got the slates matched. Got it level and recovered. Although the tech had his own way of doing things we did get the slate screws replaced with bolts. Hope it holds. Time will tell. Thanks for the info Glen.
