FYI, I just posted a new video that explains and demonstrates two useful diamond systems for aiming large-angle sliding bank shots into a far corner or side pocket. They are the Paul Schofield 8-10-12 System and the Jerry Briesath Diamond Connect System. Check it out:

Contents:
0:00 - Intro
0:45 - Schofield 8-10-12 System
---- 2:21 - “spot on the wall” insight
2:54 - Briesath Diamond Connect System
3:59 - Wrap Up

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

Enjoy!

Thanks again, will check it out. Really liked the last one. Useful refresher on some tried & true methods taught by Beard, Brumback, Mathews, etc. Being able to see it presented the way you do, with specific aim lines shown lends itself well to beginning to apply the understanding, and learn the feel. Well done again!!
Diamond table conditions, not a fan btw, can really exaggerate the shortening effects.

Never heard of the scofield system
Another 👍for you

Great stuff!! Look forward to putting both of these in play on my table later. They both rein in sideboards on methods I use now to adapt kicking lines to banking by using English and/or aim/speed adjustments. More variables = more potential for inconsistency… of course the whole game is that way😉

Unlike many systems out there, these are as simple as they get ... and they are effective!

I had not seen the Briesath system before. It took a minute to learn and was highly effective on my table. Thanks!

I agree. That’s why ive been using them 20 years. I just did not know they were actual systems.. I just figured these in my own. All systems i use have to be as simple as possible. I have tested many but use only few and most of them i created myself.

I'm glad to hear it. I had the same experience (with the slight adjustment on the 1-to-1 track).

Short and very nice. With the last two videos and additional material posted by other members I am looking forward to never missing banks again 😅

(at least not being absolute clueless to where to aim)

Thank you Dr.

For the in-between the diamond shots, all you do is line up to a reference line and parallel shift over the object ball?

Schofield or Scofield?

I had "Scofield" originally, but I was corrected. It should be "Schofield" instead; although, I am going on 2nd-hand information. Can anybody else verify that Paul "Schofield" came up with the banking system in the video? Thanks.
