Diamond table question

Thanks, I will order it now.
One more question regarding the slate. The installer just put my slate on the frame and didnt use any bolts and screws, it seemed like it came with a bucket full of them, but he said the slate isnt going to move so its not necessary.
Are those screws or bolts needed in general or for leveling the table?

If you have a GC1/2 yes, the backer boards need to be screwed to the slate.

Watched it again, nope, never used the leveling system, didn't stretch index the bed cloth, and didn't torque the rail bolts. Nice job!

PS, also didn't install the center pull down leveling system, so it's available to be utilized if needed. Can't go back and install it after the fact, unless you take the table apart again. And just so people are aware, you can't use a machinist level to check the bottom plywood for level, you need to bridge the side panels with a carpenters level as a bridge to set the machinist level on in the center to check the level side to side.

Its a Diamond Pro table. I will wait for your video to see if I can level it and figure out the atrocities caused by the installer.
If it's a Diamond Professional, and it has the leveling system installed, then no, you don't need any of the hardware to mount the slate to the frame. The slates get superglued together, and the 24 rail bolts secure the slate to the frame with the rails clamping down on the slate, sandwiching the slate between the leveling system plywood and the bottom of the rails.

Its a 1 piece slate. Thats the thing, he mentioned the slate doesnt need any bolts. So if its something done after you put the slate on, then I dont think the installer did it. Is this something that can be checked after the fact? Or when replacing the cloth?

The 1 piece slate shouldn't be mounted down anywhere with screws, bolts, nothing.
