See what I mean, everybody automatically woofs at me. :)
Get in line Glen. The line stretches down the block. You'll have to take a number. Your number should come up next time you make it to L.A. :D

P.S. Hope you get that new truck. I should have given you that can of starter fluid.
When I shut this truck off at your house, that was only the 4th time I've shut this truck off over night since before Thanksgiving last year...LOL...and I just KNEW it wouldn't start in the morning again...LOL...and as you saw for yourself, it's a ***** to get started again once it's sat all night:mad: But, oh well, as the world turns:) Next time I shut it off...it'll be at the factory...LMFAO

Complain complain...LOL Jays table and light:D

Glen

PS. It's mounted a little lower than normal because of the ceiling height, but Jays kind of short so I guess it really don't matter much:D :D If he plays someone much taller, he can just call it a shark move....LMAO

nice, very very nice ;)

IfI'm not mistaken the Gold Crown's are made in Europe noe instead of the U.S.A. The diamonds are superior to the GC'S though. If you ever attend a BCA pool league event you might be able to purchase a diamond table after the event is over.

Diamond table

Bet you changed that old KT cloth that was on the table when Marlon and Rodney played. I believe I would have gone with a 7' since I'm getting older, the 7' is the most sought after table here in the western Ky area. You must have a pretty big living room! What 's your take on playing on the 7' vs 9'. Say RealKing is the RealDeal, uh?

Realkingcobra (Glen H.) just delivered my Diamond Pro-Am table yesterday. And today he installed the Diamond light over it. The man is a great mechanic (and he can play a little too).

The set-up is the TRIPLE NUTS!!! I absolutely love it! Probably the best set-up I ever had in my home. The only one I liked nearly as much was the Sport King Ernesto set-up for me in Chatsworth years ago.

This may well be the best table you can buy today! IMHO. I'm a happy camper right now. I've almost gotten over the sting of the "Rodney" match. I had to help my daughter out today and take my 4 year old grand daughter to the docter. Meanwhile Glen was laboring away hanging my light.

When I got home, it was like Christmas. He was gone but the table sat there in my darkened living room, with the overhead light on. I felt like a virgin about to have a brand new experience.

I think I may actually start playing regularly again. It's been three long years since I really felt like playing, but now I do.

Thanks to Glen and to Chad and Greg at Diamond. They were all great to deal with.

P.S. It's a beautiful table. The diamond wood is really stunning.

I mostly prefer Gold Crowns, but the Diamonds are great tables. It's mostly personal preference. I have a GCIV at home, but at the pool room I like to play on Diamonds. You gotta mix it up. Variety is a good thing. I like Gabriels as well. I have never played on a Kim Steel, but I have heared great things about them as well. Any way it's the set up that makes the difference no matter what table you like.

Yep, that's my pad. CIA Glen got an inside look for all to see. :D

One reason I bought this house four years ago was that the living room was 16 x 20 feet. And there was a large den. So the LR became my poolroom. Lengthwise it's just long enough to be comfortable, and widthwise there's room for high chairs. Tang is on his way over right now. He called me at 8 this morning to ask if the table was ready (for him!). :)

Good thinking Jay about the room size. Thats my first criteria for a house, where to put the pool table, lol.

I am renting a house that had room in garage for a pool table. Glen setup the 9' pro in there and its great. Jays place looks nicer tho.

Jay you were hitting them well in Reno, now that you have a table at home those hustlers better look out!!

My table has Simoniz 860 on it now. Tang just left with a big smile on his face. His parting words were "You'll be seeing a lot more of me now."

I love the Diamond 7' tables. BY FAR the best small table ever made! That one isn't even close! Eight Ball on one of these is a great game. Small area with tough pockets. I might try to play more of these amateur events now that they are using Diamonds.

If I had the room, I would have one of each in my house. But if I can only have one, I will always go for a 9' table. THAT'S the real deal!

Realkingcobra is a Master Table Mechanic par excellence! And a very interesting guy to boot. I enjoyed the last two days with him just BS'ing about pool. We even found time to play a little One Hole, and I found out he could play some too.

He knows his stuff (been doing it for 25 years) and is not bashful about telling what he knows. But maybe that's one reason I like him. I'm kinda the same way. We had some in depth conversations about what constitutes good playing equipment. And he had all the right answers. I told him about the great table mechanics I have known. Pat Welch, Black Nate from L.A., Jesse from Jesse's Billiards, Ernesto, Ric Jones from Diamond and the best of them all AL CONTE (still working in his 60's). Steve Leitokow is moving up with a bullet! And Gibby Tkatch does a super job on bar tables.

Ordering a Diamond Professional

I've e-mailed an order to Aaron Berger at Diamond for a Diamond Professional with ball return and Diamond Tournament light.

I anxiously await his reply to see when it will be available (I guess there's none in stock right now with ball return).

Hopefully it would be set up as good as the tables I see Glen aka Real King Cobra working on.

Thanks AZ'ers for the help in researching table's and lighting.

Here's mine, Gold Crown eat your heart out. No better table around period.

Very nice table. I wouldn't trade it for my Gold Crown, but it ain't bad. Those colors would drive me crazy though. I think a pool table is green period, but I can deal with the blue, just not on my home table.:D
