good little one day payout...Chen hasn't been coming up there anymore and I'm not letting TJ Davis play because of what he did last month.....so everyone has an even greater chance now...
 
If you guys like Diamond tables, this is definitely a good tournament to go to! It's like playing 9-ball at the DCC!
 
Tj Was Tj Nothing Else Needs To Be Said....it Occurred At A Weekly Tournament And Since I Run The Tournaments He's Not Playing In Them Anymore..it Was His Second Chance And He Blew It..

I heard the TD insulted Chen by insinuating that he pulled out of a tournament for reasons other than a sore shoulder/neck. Anyone else hear about this ?
 
That's exactly what heard too. Chen was looking for a weekly tournament to play in on Tuesdays, because he said he refuses to play in any tournament ran by that particular TD.
 
Chen withdrew and I laughed because there was only 24 players...and like 8 champions...And I said for the money and 8 other champions I wouldn't play either...yeah that's real insulting...
 
Hmmm....no Chen and No Tj that means anyone can win.....lol....

Chen came over and looked at the list of names and that's when he said he wasn't playing FYI for everyone...

He may have had a sore shoulder and neck, but if the field wasn't as strong as it was he probably still would have played...
 
I think you're right about that Zack. Even a sore Chen can beat the likes of me, but feeling the way he was, I'm sure he felt like he couldn't give 100% and decided not to waste his money. Can you blame him? You can buy a good number of things for $60, especially when you have a kid! :p
 
Yeah, I know I just didn't want things taken out of context...I like Chen he's always been a great player in my tournaments and I'm sorry he feels that way...But it's okay maybe someone else will win...he won it the first two times..
 
Yeah, I'm not even sure who won last time. I donated my $60 (+$20) just to see how I'd do... and I ended up getting knocked out by Phillip of all people! I like the tables and the room (though less now, since smoking is allowed).

I think that if the place were closer to me, I'd come more often... but I don't like to drive more than 15-20 min. to anywhere... especially if I don't feel like I have a decent chance... but that's me. To tell you the truth, if the place had more tables and they weren't all used up for the tournament, I'd play in the tournaments more often... but when I get knocked out, there's not much left for me to do!

Like I've said before, if you like Diamond tables, this is a great tournament to go to! It's like playing 9-ball at the DCC! It's a good test of your abilities!
