Hmmm....no Chen and No Tj that means anyone can win.....lol....

Chen came over and looked at the list of names and that's when he said he wasn't playing FYI for everyone...

He may have had a sore shoulder and neck, but if the field wasn't as strong as it was he probably still would have played...

You indicate we will have a better chance by your earlier comment...

good little one day payout...Chen hasn't been coming up there anymore and I'm not letting TJ Davis play because of what he did last month.....so everyone has an even greater chance now...
:o

I don't know about other folks, but I would like to see the better players continue to compete at the nicer tournaments. If the person was insulted and a language barrier already exists perhaps the TD should apologize to a two-time champion ?

What do the rest of you think ?

Looking at names ?

Just a WAG, but maybe he was counting the number of players to determine if he could play that long and not wear out. OR He left in fear of the strong field and really felt fine.

I never knew of the problem until today...and it may been a mixture of the small strong field and his neck.....but Chen plays better competition all the time at bigger tournaments...so it had to have been a mixture...

Honestly and I don't mean this in a bad way all you guys starting this crap can excuse yourselves also...big things are going to happen in this pool room...either you can appreciate it by being a part of it....or just simply stay out of it...

Zach, won't be there this weekend.....good luck with the tourney, hope to make the next one....

BTT for ya....

Just so everyone knows I sent flyers out to every league in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana....and players should be coming from what I've been hearing

I play league in the Dallas area and didn't hear about it. Just so you know.

Well I sent it out to about 25 league directors...and even if only a quarter of them sent it out we could get more players from that...

Last night I had two guys that played in the same league and one of them said they got an email about it and the other didn't so it's up in the air...

Tournament Field

So what kind of turn out did you have? What was the size of the field?

BTW, what happened to the Tuesday night tournaments? I couldn't make it for a few weeks and then I heard they were cancelled. I know players weren't too thrilled with the shorter races. Maybe that's what killed it . . .

Side note for the wonderful players that posted Chen was pissed off...he was there you weren't...and then on top of it all....I talked to him and he said he wasn't ever pissed so (STFU).......:D

Well let's see....there weren't enough for a tournament...Nobody knows what happened to the Tuesday night tournament..the races were cut down because the tournament wasn't ending until 2 or 3 in morning...

I don't know what to do...I made a handicapped tournament for you guys and nobody showed (16 players) then I make it an open event (22 players and 24 players, then down to only five...

I have no idea what it takes to make ya'll happy, but I think it's plain and simple...Everyone is scared of playing on a 9ft table...and maybe it's because they add money with a guaranteed number of players, but you have to look at it this way..Diamonds does not have a bar and any money that they pump into a tournament is a automatic loss...the reason FAST EDDIES and other tournaments can add money is because they have a great number of sponsors and a bar!!

All I'm trying to do is make a difference in Dallas ...and I'm giving every one a free crack at the cash....the owners at Diamonds like their money and it's obvious that they're all independently wealthy...and for them to continuously stick there neck out on the line on a weekly basis and the lack of appreciation you show is ridiculous..

Tuesday night, Diamonds will have their 9-ball tournament ($15 Entry Race to 3) EVERYONE THAT PLAYS THIS WEEK IS GOING TO GET A FREE CRACK AT THE OVER $500 --- 9 ON THE BREAK CONTEST....

All I can say is start showing some appreciation for the best room in Dallas....Whether I'm at Diamonds running tournaments in the future or not things need to change...There might only be 8 tables in the room, but they are 8 of the best tables in the state...

It's only $7 to play from 1:00-7:00 or $20 open to close....If you don't like the way something is currently being done in this pool room PM me and I'll take it to the owners...

Also someone said something the other day to me that I thought was pretty pathetic..A married man came up to me a Diamonds and said man there is just never any girls up here and no Alcohol...Plain and simple suggestion: Diamonds is BYOB and BYOG - It's for players...show some
commitment....

Man I feel for ya Zach. I think it is the 9 footer especially since they are so tough. Unless you are a solid A player you ain't gonna get out very often. I wish that I lived closer I'd be at everything.

Eric.
