Dick Weaver

I've known Dick forever. I think we first met in Chicago over a little game of Banks.
We hit it off and became friends after that one session together. Last time I talked to Dick he inquired about a Bob Hunter cue that Bob had made for me. He told me that Bob was one of this lifelong friends and he wanted to buy the cue. I told him the price and he didn't hesitate.
May have seen him once since then at DCC. He was a strong shortstop speed player, one notch below the top pros. Plays all games well, on a big table or a barbox. Dick was on some of the magical Chicago teams that dominated the BCA for years. Nice guy and no dummy either.

I always liked the pool room he owned in west palm Sticks and stones. It hosted many an event. Craziest thing I saw in there was Jon Dovinsky drinking more booze than 3 men could usually drink and playing never miss a ball pool. It was pretty amazing

I met Dick years ago, stayed with his wife and him in
chicago

He owned horses and knew how to handicap them

I think he played good pool and was a pleasure to be around

I think he was a friend of manzino too

he is the type of person to have lots of friends

if you see him say Hi for me

Dick "Hammond Richie " Weaver is originally from Hammond, Indiana. I've run into him off and on for over 40 years. As pool players go, a very decent guy.
