Did anyone hear Jayson Commenting about doing deals with SVB?

I've always made more money playing below my speed when playing cheap and losing, then later playing for much higher stakes with the same person, playing just good enough to win...it's called lose for cheap, win for high;)

Who really does that?? Other than in the movies, that is.

Eric >lol

Who was the player who when approached by another player in the finals of some match, player B asked player A if he wanted to save anything and player A said : lets play for 1st and 2nd money and forget the saver crap, lets play for it all ! Player B walked away, lol.
Im thinking it was Keith who said lets play for it all, but im not sure. Anyone know the instance im talking of ? It was written about. Some stones on the guy though, got to admit that.

Why is this such a problem?
Jayson stated that SVB approached him about splitting prize money if they met in the finals, that`s between the two of them and NONE of our business!
And the end of the stream Jayson had allready started with the drinking, he said so on the stream.
He`s commentary was great and even though he thought Earls sharking was a cheap shot, he said he still likes the guy and realized that it`s part of the game and that Earl got to him.
As for the drinking - he is Scottish after all...

Man, I wish some of you posters knew something...about anything:eek: if Shaw and Shane DID want to split money, who in the hell gives ANY of you the right to even care, there's no money to be made or lost at the betting cages on what EVER they decide to do, and even if that outcome DID change what ever you might have side bet with your buddy(s)...that's your own damn fault for betting on the side in the first place....see, in that situation you're no better than anyone else that would make some extra side pocket money off the players...and not think twice about throwing your favorite player a bone because you just won some side bet action on him! When I was playing all the time, my rules were simple...if your going to bet on me...I want to know it first, second, I want a cut...if either rules don't happen, I might just start picking which games I lose...without YOU knowing first;)

I have no clue who he is trying to insult

Savers are good for the player who feels they are the underdog.

Savers are not good for the spectators.

Savers are not good for the fans.

Savers are not good for the calcutta participants.

Savers are not good for pool's image.

Savers are not good for promoters.

Savers are not good for sponsors.

Its amazing how people rationalize shit like this as being not a big deal.

great post

The Image

There are quite a few people trying to upgrade this amazing game.
Unfortunately they take 1 step forward and 5 steps back , they keep on pushing and you must commend and respect them for the effort.
Jayson must learn to shut his mouth. He is not the only one.
Go to any pool hall, tournament, etc and listen to all the big mouths.
They bark at each other like they are in the street, cursing, loud, etc, don't care if kids or families are present. they act like a bunch of low life pieces of crap. Look at me..i'm in the mix...running my big mouth... I am somebody.
You can make all the games you want..try doing it with a little class and dignity.
Last week at the Steinway Classic there was a little girl about 3 or 4 yrs old present. The mouths were running non stop...no respect.
I know...if you don't want the kid to be in that element don't bring them. and I can't argue that point.
Just keep your big mouth shut whether you are in the booth, on the rail or playing a match. If you feel the need to have potty mouth you should think before you speak and put it in the vault.
