ever make a snooker table ?? OR, can one be converted from standard pro cut configuration ?? What ya think Glen ??

No, Diamond has never built a snooker table to date as of yet. The sub-rails are at the wrong bevel for snooker cushions, the corner pockets would be very small for snooker..starting with an already 4 1/2" pocket opening, and the slate shelf would be to deep.barefoot3zk5 said:ever make a snooker table ?? What would be the point of creating a 9ft snooker table, when there is not any measureable demand? I think it's kind of pointless, when there are 10 foot snooker tables in storage all around this country.OTLB said:why can't you just end cut the rail liner and make any size pockets you want by then adding snooker bends? I can't see why this can't be done on a Diamond? With a shelf at like 1.75 inches just adding bends onto a 4.5 inch pocket will put you at about 2.75 inches which is even too tight for me. Could always do a rail ext later if needed to go back to pool.

So the answer to the question can a Dia be converted is yes. First a 9 foot snooker table doesn't take up lots of room. Room owners don't like the idea of moving anything, so now they can offer snooker without adding a table and less expense to them. Mechanic in the area gets specialty work and recognition. Ask a room owner about snooker and they say it takes up too much room. This a good thing for
rooms as they can add a different game etc etc. I also think a 9 ft billiard table would be fun also, be like playing with tight pockets on pool.
This would be great for cue games and with extra rails they could still use the tables back for pool in tournaments, leagues
I think it's up to the Technician to inform room owners about this since they don't know IMO
that I was hoping for, ssoooo, any chance of finding some snooker rails that will fit on a GCII 9' . Or a 9' GC snooker might be a consideration. I'm thinkin I am gonna have to put in a room to accomadate this habit. Lord knows our area could use one. Not sure if this economy would support a startup room at this time.realkingcobra said:What would be the point of creating a 9ft snooker table, when there is not any measureable demand?
