Are you wanting to sell or trade?
If so, better pics.
The answer to your question would be yes if you have to ask as you must already feel that way.

Yep, you got ripped off. I will take it off your hands for $200. Jk

Very nice cue :)

That's a matter of perception. If you spent $3,000 and loved the cue, then you had a good buy. If you spent, $200 and hated the cue, you got ripped off. It's a matter of perception. Obviously, you don't seem happy with your purchase, so you got ripped off. However, you may find someone to buy it off of you for the same or more than you did and be perfectly happy with the purchase. The only thing that matters is if you are happy.

Perfectly said, now for the important part, WHY is this in the for sale wanted forum section, you are neither selling or buying anything, please have respect for other people that are actually selling and buying something, every non topic post like this pushes their item further down the list.

I see you are new here with only 5 post please read the forum rules.

Sorry you feel you got ripped off

In my opinion only:
Chester Krick made cues for about a decade. Like many cue makers who may not have the means of high dollar advertising behind them, their cues have a lot of heart and soul put into them. I know nothing of making cues, but, in general, if a person does not have a bad reputation after five years in any business, they are doing something right. Maybe Mr. Krick’s cues may not seek huge dollars in value because of the lack of exposure, but, in my opinion, the effort in this cue and more than likely the quality that it performs would seek a lot of value. I know a lot of excellent cue makers who can produce about 100 cues a year like Mr. Krick did and their finished products are very very good. I do commend you for one thing for sure. You supported an American Cue Maker !! Not that I have anything against any ones business idea’s, but, I believe you have a good solid hand made cue by an American Cue Maker. I believe a lot of time went into this cue and a price can not put value on that. Be proud, go out and kick some butt with it.
If I am correct, Mr. Chester Krick passed away a handful of years back.

Here's a Custom Chastain Cue

Here's a perfect example, this cue was made by Chastain Custom Cues out of the portland or area. This cue is light in weight at 17.8 ounce or so. It's a monster on the table. It's like the seabiscut, but, I will get $ 450.00 for it, but, everyone would say you got took as Mr. Chastain is not high profile throughout the country. But, I know when a shooter walks in and looks at cues, this one is on their list. This cue will sell to a walk in shooter looking for a cue that is close to their comfort zone and they will most happy in it's performance. No doubt.

Steve Kline would be the best to ask, he knew
chester Krick personally. I do know that cue probably has a proprietory pin, which no on else use, except a few that purchased them. i hate a quite a few of his pins, but either made cues with them or sold them.

steve;s id here is cutter

i gotta figure it's priced between 6-800 or so. from what i hear those cues play f'n great so no matter what you paid i think you got the better of that deal. I've always loved the way Chester Krick's cues look. never seen one that didn't really do something for me. your cue looks great bro. that ring work is fantastic!!!!

why not just come out and let us know what you paid. i'll tell you what i paid for all of mine. no sense keeping something like that secret from a bunch of pool cue nuts like us. we'll find out one way or another.

Some good posts on this thread
Like Sam said, just tell us what you paid.
We will tell you if you got porked or not..

Just Google it! If you do you can get a good Idea .
First page ,one just sold on IndyQ's site, 4 point 4 veneers inlays in points and butt sleeve $1250 .
Another still for sale at Diveney's site 6 point $750.

krick

if Chester were here today he would be selling that cue for about 2000. He probably sold it at the time for about 1500. Dealing in used cues everyday as we do at tournaments. I would put a used value on the cue in the neighborhood of 800. to 1200. That being said as one of the other posts said. It depends on the person and the area of the country you are in. 600. may be a more realistic price of what you would get out of it. But it doesn't matter what you paid as long as you are happy with it. Chesters cues played great, so enjoy you Krick cue. Chester would be pleased to see it in good shape. Pat Diveney

please...do not make some delusional opinion......the OP just want to know what is the fair price of his cue....if you know the price knowledge of cue especially chester krick cue, just tell him the fair price....if you do not know...just silence and stay away....you are truly wrong with your post...

I like my BARNHART sneaky....offcourse it's not worth for 1000 or 2000 dollar...if i end up sell it to the secondary market...i will put the fair price like maybe 500$ ....

i don't really like my BCM cue....the fair price for it is around 500$...if someone want it ...pay around that price...if somebody want it for 200$...i will tell him to go to hell...because, i know there are alot of BCM fans out there that gonna like my cue....HIT is subjective thing....
