Yes, but it was probably not a Rambow. It was most likely an old Brunswick. This Rambow is very unusual for him. Most of the Brunswicks with this shaft do not have veneers in the forearm points. This cue here is a real collector's item.

Rule of thumb - always buy an old cue with an ebony butterfly spliced shaft or an old Brunswick decal if it's cheap. You can verify it later.

I wonder if the ebony was on the joint side of the shaft. Wonder if it also had wavy veneers in the forearm.:eek: :cool: :D

I don't remember what the forearm looked like but the shaft had ebony on the tip side of the shaft like the one in the link.

The downside of estate sales is you usually have to buy a pool table to get the cues, they won't sell them seperately.
