Did you guys just see that jump by SVB? !!!

It's actually easier to jump using to bridges to give more distance...

How come he didn't just use a bridge with his hand...? He had ample of space to do it...good shot nonetheless but I think it was exaggerated.

I haven't really wanted to point this out, but jumping with a single bridge is more difficult than doing it the way Shane did here.

With two bridges, it gives more distance between where the shaft is being propped and where contact with the ball is.

If you have to use a bridge and jump, I suggest doing it the way Shane did here, you'll find it's much easier than trying to do it with one bridge...

First time I ever saw a two bridge jump shot, especially in that configuration. Wonder who Shane learned that one from? Corey?
I've been watching Shane for ten years now and he just keeps getting better. The Shane of 2012 wouldn't have beaten Dennis this time. JMHO as always

Really Jay? As long as youve been around pool, that's the first time?

I agree, Dennis was playing way better in this Open then he was in 2012.

I agree with Jaden, you want more distance anyway. To a degree, the further the better. More impressive to me was the way Shane had to hit low on the cue ball. Perfectly low enough to bump into another ball for position, that was the harder part of the jump.

I agree...

The bridge jump isnt too hard and the ball wasnt far from the hole... but getting shape with the bridge jump, during the finals of the USOpen where you could make history of being the first ever 3-peat... that's what makes this impressive.

don't get me wrong...

I want trying to take away from the impressiveness of the shoot which is why I was reluctant to even mention it, but it's impressive for the reasons that you stated, not because he used two bridges.

Any jump shot with shape in that situation would be impressive, that he had to use a bridge and do it brings the awe factor even higher. The fact that he used two bridges shows his knowledge more than any additional prowess however.

That's a pretty common shot here in Taiwan. Most players can jump with the bridge here! :) But still, excellent jump by SVB, especially in the finals of the US open.
