Dieckman is mad at me...

Cool. Hey I used to live in KC we might know each other. Where did you play at? I pretty much lived on Big Bertha at Raytown Rec. tried playing a few games of three cushion mostly could not get enough of that big table. They even let me learn all my stroke shots on the ten footer...It was so great having tough equipment to play on...

That's where I play at most of the time. I just started going there not too long ago, maybe only a few months. Big Bertha is one tough cookie to shoot on. Reactive bumpers and Doug just put new felt on the table so it plays even faster than usual . Doug taught me a few things, mainly to get my stroke down and to get me to learn how to pot long shots accurately. Taught me to keep my cue as parallel to the ground as much as I can, great guy! If you happen to stop by KC, PM me and we can get on Big Bertha and you can kick my a$$ on it, I'm not very good, very green :D
 
I hope I make it there soon. Doug was single back when I lived there...I heard he is doing good, and has a family now.

You have a very good player hanging around Raytown nowadays...Danny Harriman is going in there now. You should get some lessons off him, your real lucky to have Danny, Doug, and Don around there. What a place. You could be learning alot in that place right now. Champs from three generations.

If I ever get the chance to go in there I will. If I ever go through KC it is on the top of the list...

Doug is doing pretty good, he has a son now, really energetic and adorable. He brings his son into the pool hall sometimes and he just runs around the entire place. haha

As for Danny, I ran into him the other day and finally got to introduce myself to him. Really nice guy, really passionate about the 14.1 league. I am looking forward for school to end here and I will be joining it as soon as school is out. Other than me, Danny was saying we need two more players to make it complete, so I am on a quest to look for two players to join. Maybe if my brother has time, he might be interested.

Don, I have seen him come in once in a while to sit around and watch people play. From what Doug was saying, his health is not in the greatest condition. Hope he gets better soon. One of my friends dad use to play with Don while he was younger.

I love that place. Though there isn't much down there, but that's how I like it. A few TV's on the walls might be ok, but I like it quiet, a great place to learn and practice. Great tables, great people. Hope to see you there bud!

More English, Better Speed Control, No Loss of Power and for some reason I'm getting better hits. Why shouldn't I buy it? My other cue is a Dieckman too, and is also awesome, but for some reason 2 ounces less is giving me different results.

By the way any doubters on the power aspect, last year with the 14oz cue I witnessed a pool player hit 11 rails and come back out 3 feet on the Gabriels 3C tables. He was a big boy but he hit it with the same effort as his personal cue.

that would be bigdaddygerald and he had trimmed down to a slim 485 when we were down there. he still has dennis' 20 euros in his pocket for making that billiard too.

No, I only played a few people in hardtymes. I played a guy named Dennis that was in his 60's, this guy could run racks in nine balls. I'll bet he's won his fair share of tourney's around LA...

When I played cush in hardtymes catfish got me the wrong game. The guy I played was LA's champ he played way better than me I think the finale score was 30-19 I earned every shot too. No runs or I would of had a chance. He was no rookie...

Dieckman played Ilias it waws late and Dieckman was not as fixed yet...I'll bet he could do alot better now...He went there when we were staying in Long Beach.

Ilias is good at all games I think his best game is rotation though...He would tell you it's golf...Hardtymes is a great pool hall, I'll be trying to stop by in there next week...

I fly out for LA in three days. Hopefully I can make it down there I'll be staying in Glendale so the drive is pretty far compared to Hollywood Billiards. I like the group down at Hardtymes it's alway fun hanging out there in the later hour's...I am a night owl unless I am working...1 month on the road, this time I am not baby sitting. lol

I don't know who that guy was but it probably wasn't bigdaddygerald since Dennis first showed him the shot pattern before he tried. It also took him a few tries before he made it. Also the cue was made for a guy in New York I believe. At any rate it wasn't ready for delivery at the time. Dennis just delivered it just a couple of months ago.

well, i was there and the whole room was trying to make a similar shot and gerry was the only one to make it. the rails on the tables were so responsive balls were flying off the table all over the room. gerry was the only one to keep the balls on the table.

at this point dennis was not watching but came over to see what was going on since gerry was the only one to make the 10 railer without the tikki, he (dennis) set up the shot you are referring to and said he could have 10 tries to make it and would give him 20 euros if he did. gerry made it in 3.

he wasn't looking to buy the stick, dennis suggested he use it as before he was using my pool cue. and gerry is from michigan.
