1st off, I only play 9 ball with blind men.
My favorite games are 1 hole on a 9 ft.
and 8 ball, preferably on a bar table.
For 1 hole, I prefer a medium hit or softer.
Kikel, Olney, Scruggs, DP. For years I would
only play 1 hole with a Meucci Original.
For 8 ball, however, I like a stiffer hit:
Josey, Coker, Jackson, Joss, Pechauer.
Anybody like me & uses different type
cues for different games?

Doesn't the different deflection of the shafts, in the variety of cues you use, affect your accuracy?
I've always been told that it is best to find one cue you like and stick with it.

I have used a number of cues, through the years, but usually only one at a time, before moving to the next.

Rich, you are absolutely right. My problem is
I got into this cue buying frenzy a few years
ago & I hate to not play with them.
I haven't figured out whether I'm dumb or dumber.
LOL!

You're not alone. I've got a friend who would only play 9-ball with a Meucci, and 14.1 with a Joss. And if I were to classify them, I would have also said that the Meucci cues were designed with 9-ball in mind, and Joss cues being designed in the 14.1 era.

IMO, certain cues lend themselves to big stroking while others are better suited for the tight games. It's a taper and balance thing. I think playing cuemakers like Jack Madden have a great philosophy on such things.
