Digital linear scales or indicator brackets for Deluxe

I am looking to get either digital linear scales for my deluxe or atleast an indicator mount for the cross slide. Does anyone have any mods that they can share or a place to get a kit to do this? I saw one from a gentleman in Indiana that was pretty slick. Thanks in advance for all the advice.

If memory serves me correctly, quint measuring systems has some affordable linear scales in a 6-36" range. I use the 12 on my lathe and love it.

This is what i did to mine and it works great. The cross slide gage is a .050 in. gage with a 0.100 scale on it, so when you .001 that is what it takes off.

That looks nice but how do you keep the scale clean when you are actually cutting material???

Kim, if you are referring to the scale in the pictures, i have a pretty good dust collection system and the machine stays about 90% dust free, also after each job each piece of equipment gets cleaned, it always looks like that.

My wife and I have been to his shop and he is not just kidding!! He has carpet in his shop and it looks like the most paticular persons living room. My wife thought there was no way he does any work in there as it was so clean you could eat off of everything!
