Directions for Sardo Template

I have one of the original Sardo Tight Racks - the M-2000. It came with a template for setting up the table for use with the rack. The problem is that I have new cloth and I can't remember how to use the template.

Anyone have the directions? I remember that they were pretty specific.

I can describe how I've heard templates are/were used in Europe to tap tables. The template is placed carefully in the correct position and one ball at a time is placed in each hole and tapped into place. I think that each spot might be wetted before tapping. Since the holes in the template are slightly closer to each other than a ball diameter, you can't put all the balls in the template at the same time because they will not sit where you want the dimples.

If you have tapped the table, you don't need the machine. If anyone wants a tapping template, you can make your own from this file: http://www.sfbilliards.com/template.pdf -- for durability it's best to print the template on mylar transparency sheets, but try it with plain paper first to see how it works and which spacing is correct for your equipment.
 
I have the M 3000 and the template that came with mine was just for marking the two holes where you align the rack in the back. With a hole where the one ball goes you tap that in and place the rack press down, then you leave that ball and put another and do the same. Do this for each ball.
