Divide up the for sale section?

The only thing I would change is make it a rule that in the Title the seller must list what their selling. Not something like "you've gotta see this" or "best deal".
And I'm not a fan of titles that look like this
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>chalk<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Or PM for a price, just post a price please.

I like this idea. I try to wade through the Wanted/For Sale section from time to time. Even if I'm not in the market, I like to try and keep an eye out for a deal.
And if the maker is in the title line, all the better. A buyer is more likely to click on that thread versus clicking on the">>>>>Cue For Sale<<<<<" ad when they run a search engine.
I've noticed is that when you move your cursor over a post, the first few lines of that first post show up. Why not put a little more info there ?

I imagine an ideal ad would have something like this in the title : "F/S - Joss N-7 Cue with Z2 shaft".
When you move your cursor over the ad, the pertinent information is there to 'grab' the buyer.
"- Original and Z2 shaft included."
"- 20.2 oz, original shaft 12.5 mm"
"- Wrap changed to white w/black specs"
"- $19.86 shipped CONUS"

If they want to look further, great. If not, move your cursor over the next ad. Simple, and saves time by not having to open every thread.

Just my $.02..............

Any thoughts about sectioning the For Sale Section?

I am looking for a lower cost cue and I do not have time to wade through all the ads - I just do not bother looking

Your too cheap to buy a cue through a dealer and too lazy to look for what you want to buy?
Maybe pool is not your game?
How much do you spend on movies? Drinking, restaurants, other recreational fun? These production cue by Cuetec and other are good buys but if thats too much money, get an Asian knockoff for $30.
I have some inexpensive Schons for sale $1800 and up. Three Bobby Hunters $4800 and up.

Never happen...NPR is now 90% "Obama sucks" threads and a political section still hasn't been created so I doubt the for sale section will change either.

Whats up

Wow! No I am not too cheap and as far as lazy goes I do not think so.

As far as cheap goes I got rid of this table:

Maybe it is 'too cheap' for you! But this is a Brunswick Prestige a GC with furniture that you can 'Google' and it had a retail price of $9K plus but I did not give that for it:grin: I could make a lot of 'snotty' remarks but I hope to see you on the Tour with your expensive cues.

Ever play 9Ball on a 6 x 12 for $?

I guess 'pool' is not my game since I play/practice on this table every day:

ry%3D400

I used to play/practice on this one:

ry%3D400

so maybe you are right that 'pool' is not my game.

I do not want nor do I need an $1800. cue but I might look at a $200. cue if they were grouped as such or perhaps a $500. cue

I grew up with the w/fs forum as it is...hasn't changed much in several years and I like it. I do think there's some room for continuous quality improvement with some subcategories, maybe even a search/selection function through/in a listing form key features. A poll by mgt would be really cool, hope they're reading this one.
:p

Well there's your problem. That Centennial and the Riley have distorted your perception of 'need' of a high priced cue.

Thanks for sharing. Wow.

What did you do with the Centennial? Was/Is it a 5x10?

Take care

For Sale Section ?

I would like to see it divided up between for sale $ and for sale by auction via pm.

This guy is my new hero. Doesn't fall into that handicap of needing a rediculously priced waste of money fancy cue but does clearly have taste and style to spend wisely where it really counts.

(I admit I tend to really laugh at those with thousand dollar plus cues, what a waste, but I'll also admit they're pretty... )

I don't think I'd have replaced the centennial with the riley but both are sweet. I guess the riley is bigger, 12'?
