I came across this video a couple of days ago. Its an optics professional making a level for his father's 3 cushion table. Obviously buying a Starrett machinist's level for $200 is way cheaper and easier, but this was interesting to watch nonetheless. Enjoy.

It's amazing how accurately you can grind glass.

The WPA spec for level is less than 1 in 5000, which is about 0.01 degree, which is the number the maker came up with.
