Do Aramith balls come in a sealed box?

I have puchased 2 sets of Aramith Premier balls from Amazon and both came with the box just taped shut. I am expecting that they would come from Aramith wrapped in plastic, am I wrong. I do not want to keep these balls because if they do not have a factory seal, there is no way to know if they are genuine. Thoughts?

Hello.

The last time I purchased a set of Premier balls from a trusted wholesaler the box was not sealed. If memory serves, the box lid wasn’t taped either.

Mine came taped as well.

Did the seller claim the balls were new? Did they come in the green box with Aramith printed all over the box?

You could call or email Aramith USA or one of the US distributors.
 
The sets that came from Amazon were in legitimate Aramith boxes but were not sealed. Just 2 pcs of packing tape so I am 100% certain they were purchsed and returned by other Amazon customers. The problem, in my opionion is there is no way to know if they were actually Aramith balls inside. Plus Amazon just slapped a label on the Aramith box and let their vans and drivers beat the crap out of the box before they threw it on my concrete porch.

So i decided to reach out to PoolDawg to see their Aramith balls were sealed and they confirmed they would be unless I wanted them checked before shipping for quality. I just received them today, 2 days after i ordered. They came packed in shipping box. Inside the Aramith box was factory sealed and the Aramith box is in perfect condition.

Much better experience.
 
All competition ballsets coming directly from Saluc are plastic wrapped. (Premium, SAP, Tournamenct etc) Premier and lower comes without. I wrap the boxes in clingfoil before shipping them.
 
I have purchased probably 7-8 Sets of Centennial pool balls and the red box was always not sealed aside from some small pieces of scotch tape on the side bottom to hold the lid tight on the box. If your set came sealed, it was done by the seller as a courtesy. I’m basing that on my prior experience buying Centennial sets which are Aramith, i.e., Saluc.

Interesting.... By the way, you are 100% wrong....

I've been a dealer, for several years. I have purchased Aramith balls from 5 different suppliers. While I have seen plastic on a select couple of Aramith sets, most are just open boxes. Some distributors will tape them, which is nice. But, not all.
 
sorry for the late reply. was too sleepy to post late last night. anyway, my set is wrapped with plastic. I do have the Premiums though so I don't know if they are any different than the typical Premier wrapping.
 
Maybe if you pay more you get more but is it done by the seller or by the manufacturer?
So let me ask the forum population how much more is shrink wrapped worth to you?

Would you even pay $10 more for a shrink wrapped set of pool balls? Would you even
care if the box wasn’t shrink wrapped as long as the balls were new? IMO, I sincerely
doubt Aramith, or any high quality pool ball manufacturer, would shrink wrap a set of
their balls because the price was $25-50 more than a different set of their pool balls.

Personally, as long as the box isn’t damaged and the balls are new and unblemished,
that’s all I care about because as soon as I start playing with the set, the pool balls are
instantly changed to used, or pre-owned. Used balls, even pristine, are just worth less.
So unless youre a collector, you don’t need shrink wrapped and Saran Wrap is still cheap.

"100% wrong"?? So you know for a fact that the balls that I got from Amazon were not previously purchased and returned?

While I my not be 100% correct, I am NOT 100% wrong.

The set I got from PoolDawg, were not just shrink wrapped, the shrink wrap had the Aramith logo printed on it also. They were most defintetly the only ball set that I received that I can confidently say were 100% Aramith balls and they were never purchased and opened and returned by another customer.

Myself... I like sealed with no prints on anything I buy. Amazon does make mistakes and sometimes just does things.

My concern with the open box concept coming from Amazon is that there is nothing protecting me from getting a set of balls that were purchased by another customer who bought the Amarmith balls, took them out of the box, replaced them with a cheap set of new balls and sent them back to Amazon for a refund. While this may not be likely, it is possible and there is virtually no way of knowing. With a sealed package, I am as close to certain as I can be that I am getting what I paid for. And I am absolutely willing to pay more for that certainty.
