Do sticker template racks hold up to a vacuum?

I'd like to try the template racks that stick to the table for straight pool, like the one Shaw played on. Does anyone know if they will hold up to a vaccum that would be used every time I play (due to pet hair)?

Thanks.

Edit: I use a modified, hand held vac, where I removed the rotating brush mechanism.

I thought you weren't supposed to use that attachment anyway... I use my 20v DeWalt vac and it does a great job. We have a cat and a dog.

I see the edit now. Maybe use one of those sticky rollers if it's that bad.

Go to Walmart. Buy the stickies for $2. Stick a few on your table. Vacuum the table. Make decision on template.

Do you mean the hole reinforcers? I thought these templates were something else? If the regular hole reinforces, I use them all the time, and they come off after a couple weeks even without using a vacuum.

Here's a video describing the setup for a "permanent" rack template:

Look through a Legends of Pocket Billiards video, and you can zoom in on the rack area:

They might be using clear stickies rather than white.

I have the slug doctor and just use standard hole reinforcements. The last application has been on my table for years and no issues. I have used a small shop vac and also a couple of the Roomba type robot vacuums and no issues at all.

I have the perma-rack that uses the cheap Avery brand hole-punch reinforcement things. It holds up to the vacuum just fine, but they eventually start to lift. I replace them 2 or 3 times a year.

One thing the video left out, unless I missed it, is to vacuum the table area prior to applying the donuts. They will stick better if there's no chalk dust below them. You can also use one of those sticky roller lint removers in addition to the vacuuming.

I haven't seen the slug doctor in years. I don't know if Abe Lim still makes them. I think his major innovation was the applicator and using regular donuts. His system was re-usable compared to the japanese product, whose name escapes me, which peeled off and left the donuts on the table. Eventually, Magic Rack took over in popularity.

YMMV, the plastic avery do wear out and come off. They were perfect for a weekend tournament of 9-ball, as I take them all off at the end of the tournament. When one comes off, sometimes it was easier to the entire rack off and re-apply new ones than try to apply a new one.
