Do you aim the same for cut shots?

What 9-ball fell?

Any help would be appreciated. I usually aim down the shaft of my cue, but I've been having problems with thin cut shots. If its cross table it seems like if I get up over the table I have better luck making it.

Any suggestions? Is there a different height you should have over the cue for certain types of shots? Thanks in advance.

Also, any suggestions on an instructor in Vegas? I know Greg Kuhl and Walter Glass give lessons.

I'm not an instructor but I can make the thinnest cut shots you have ever seen, mainly because my banking is not so good. I have always had success with hitting the cue ball near the top. also when cutting a ball thin and you just want to pocket it just hit it hard enough to get to the pocket. If you hit a thin cut shot too hard the friction of the cue ball will under cut the shot. I call it "feathering the ball in".Try it.

Not sure on the type of cuts your describing......or a cross table cut? maybe back cut you mean?

The up over the table comment makes me thing of very tight close 90º cuts where the CB and OB are mere inches or less from each other.

In my opinion the best someone could pocket balls would be if the balls were seen in a 2D flat image. When you have a long striaght shot you normally get down low so you can see the balls "FLAT"....as standing high you can see the spherical shape of the ball. When they are really close quarters tight cut....then you can stand really high on the shot, thus giving the sphereical dimensions of the ball more flat 2D'NESS (Write that down....i just made that up) This 2D'NESS helps you to see the distinct edges of the CB & OB so as to have the ability to meet that edge to edge contact to pocket the OB....

Hi Joey

You might like to use the "edge-to-edge" cutting. Line up the cut side edge of your cue ball to the cut side edge of the object ball. Understanding Geno's Perfect Aim would also help here.

On a side note:

Scott Lee & Randy Goettlicher are conducting a Pool School in Las Vagas.

The dates are March 4-5-6 2011 at Club Charleston.

Need any more help just email me at:

Thanks
