How many cue makers cut shafts from house cues at the request of the buyer?
How about for your personal use?
I like the denser and darker shaft wood the house cue often provides.
Cant argue about if the wood is well seasoned or not ... it is!
But sometimes even the old seasoned wood from a house cue just will not stay straight no matter how slow you cut it down.
Other pieces dont seem to matter how fast you go.
I know the current trend is snow white and straight grained.
Some of my best playing shafts IMHO have been yellow and a bit wavy.
