Do you know how many of these 8-ball cars were made?

This is an 8-ball car made by Peter Vitalie. I bought this car directly from him at a BCA Trade Show about 20 years ago. As I recall, this was a prototype and was all hand-made. They said they were going to make them in quantity like their pool tables. Do you you know how many of these toys were made? I don't think Vitalie makes pool tables any more. Anyway, this car weighs approx. 1lb, 11oz and is 8 3/4" long, 4 1/8" wide and 5" tall. The wheels actually turn and the car moves. I have the original color brochure for this car. NOTE: Any white lines are camera flash reflection..

Thanks for any help!

It would be cool to come up with a bunch of vehicle toys built around an actual pool ball. Might be a great idea.

I could see a cross market here - scale model car collectors, pool players.

Enough design flexibility for limited editions (100 only), autographed sets, first editions, etc.

Hmmm - maybe I'll do some research.

This is one of the neatest pool items I have seen. I don't even know how you'd value this, but for something crafted so well, hand painted with some value behind the name of the manufacturer, with the paperwork, I would not part with it for less than 3-500.

Even then I'd only sell if it I really needed the money.
