Do you let others use your Cue ?

Peeps have picked up my cue and hit with it before.Even if the person is a top shooter and very carefull,I cannot help checking the shaft for dings.Usualy though its the tip that takes the abuse and the reason why I don't let folks use my cue.

As far as loaning it for a match,it is very hard to share a cue with a scotch partner or opponent.

No I will not loan out my cues for someone to play with ,

If a player wants to test hit a few balls to see how my cue hits, because he or she may be in the market for something similar , yeah I dont have a problem with that and will oblige them usually

but to want to borrow my cue to play with because you dont have one or didnt bring one That i wont do

To me its distasteful and a bit disrespectful, it is like telling me I won't spend my money on an expensive player but I have no problem with using yours that you spent your money on. and in some cases there have been folks who actually thought they were entitled to borrow my cue because i happen to have more than one with me

But thats Just me and my opinion

I let any of my friends play with any cues I have....including the Szamboti.

My favorite of all my cues is my Schick.

Reminds me of what my mother said about children she drives on her school bus. She said the poor kids bring a toy and shares it with everyone, the kids with any money and brings a toy and keeps it all to theirselves and wont share.

I try to act like the poor kids.

I like this response the best....and try to be the same way.

...don't want my things owning me

I let some use my jump cue once and I paid the ultimate price. He made the shot went to put the cue down, tripped over his own feet and somehow stepped on the joint and snapped it in two. I still hear that sound in my nightmares. Now when a friend who doesnt own a jumper gets left with a jump shot my automatic reflex is to hide my lomax.

I don't have a problem given who and how long they need it.
Mercedes used my Dieckman for nearly 8 hours in Lansing.
No problem. And I got to pick from the stack of 10 beautiful
cues laying on the other table. Including her future Dieckman.

I loan my cues alot.It is the easiest way to get an abuse test.
I find in a pool hall most are extremely respectfull of someone elses cue.
You see an instant change from how they were handling the rack cue.
But at the pub, that is another matter entirely. This is where you are more likely to get the best abuse test for free.
You can learn alot from these tests. If construction is not 100% you will find out in a game or 2.

The list of people I would trust with my ANYTHINGS is so short a list all you would need is one hand to count the numbers!

Yes I do. I loaned my spare to a teammate once. She was going through a divorce. Her cue just was not available that night. I offered my main player as well. She chose the spare (Jacoby). She even broke with it. Not a problem. But I was there all the time. Any member of the 2 teams I shoot with are welcome to my cues.

I however will not loan a cue for an extended time to a stranger. Test hits are fine.

My Playing Cues

Any of my team mates, close pool playing friends, and family are free to use my cue, borrow one of the spares. I will let others shoot a rack with it if they like (with rules), but a random, not a chance.

I try to be a good ambassador, so if they notice its not a name the banger notices, like a McDermott or Cuetec, Ill show it to them, and let them hit it.

My playing shaft is typically not used by anyone, other than my best friend (teammate) or little brother. Well I get to use it too.

<------- Shared with the other kids on the bus.
