Do you remember Red Ball?

We used to play a game called Red Ball. The balls were played in rotational order. The money balls were the red balls 3,7,11 and 15.

The lowest numbered ball had to be hit first as in 9 ball. The player pocketing any red ball got paid for that ball. The total sum of the money put up and divided so each ball was worth an equal amount.

15 balls were racked with the one on the footspot. The red balls were placed inside the rack in a diamond shape with the 15 in the center of the 3rd row (where the 8 would go in 8 ball). The 7 & 11 balls were placed behind the 15 and the 3 ball in the center of the last row. All other balls at random.

All balls stayed down unless there was a scratch made on the money balls or on any ball immediately preceeding a money ball. BIH behind the headstring on these balls.

The game ends when all the money balls are gone. Do you remember the game of Red Ball?

I edited this thread because when first posted I couldn't remember how the red balls were placed in the rack (played this game in the 60's).

I was talking to an someone who played it back then and he said the red balls where racked in the manner as the edited post.

Just thought someone might want to give it a go for something different. Great game for playing partners also.

I don't remember rad ball, but my ex girlfriend loved to play blue ball with me... HE HE HE

Red-Ball was my cousin but I never knew him.

Blue-Balled tho- pretty sure I've met him, but it has been a long time.
