Do You Remember This E-Bay Scam ?

Back when the Xbox first came out, I recall an eBay auction where you bid on an "Xbox Box" - looked like a typo, but what the guy was offering was merely the cardboard box that an Xbox came in. It was there in the text if you chose to read it, so the guy could claim he wasn't scamming anyone. :/

I don't remember the person's name, but someone was offering pool cues on E-Bay and when you were the high bidder and sent your money in, you received a PICTURE of the cue and not the actual cue.

Well, it's not cues in this case, but tomorrow's Judge Judy is the same type scam:

Reminds me of a scam my 75 year old friend told me that his dad fell for during the Depression approx.1932....he said his dad sent $10.00 into a company that advertised in a magazine..now $10.00 was huge amount of money during that time..it was for a special device that killed rats and it said it would work 100% of the time..well after sending in their money they got a box in the mail.it was 2 bricks one with a A printed on it the other with a B written in chalk..the instructions said to get the rat and hold him across part A then take part B in your hand and smash onto rats head !!! hey was KT around then ? no before his time...:)
