I couldn't agree more and let me add to that. Give him a few weeks of bad rolls and good ones for who he is playing for high stakes. Don't forget SVB bets a lot with his own bread. Let him lose 50-100 grand and lets see if he come bouncing back. He has all the tools and looks cold as ice but he hasn't been beat for big money a few times in a row yet. John Morra is a really strong playing kid from canada.
i don't think shane's run has been the most dominate, i wonder why everyone thinks SVB is the best thing to happen to pool since leather tips.
Don't get me wrong he's a champion, and he's just starting on his career so he still has many many years ahead of him but mosconi, earl strickland, archer, mizerak, buddy hall, jean balukas all dominated for many many years during their prime.
i'm sure SVB will do very well, like i said he has just started his ascent into the top echelons of pool and he is on one hell of a rush right now but there are still players out there that can beat him.

He's trying to say the Derby is known more for the action. While Ralf Souquet was upstairs resting... Shane was downstairs in the action room participating in some epic gambling matches.
That's not a knock on Ralf, but Shane didn't have much rest during his tournament matches and probably wasn't playing his best. Shane loves the action at the Derby.

SVB is a champion, but to claim he is the best player in the world after one good year, and with his tournament wins on US soil only, is a bit premature.
There are many filipinos and taiwanese guys who can beat him any day, both in tournament play and action games - just as he can beat all of them also.
