+2..........
Somebody obviously whined loud enough to have the rules changed in the first place. I don't think Mike or Dave just woke up one day and said to themselves "Today I think I'll screw with the cuemaker section just to piss 'em off".

With enough logical support maybe something can be rectified.

Chris, you bring in a good point. But at this particular stage, I believe, the more people that turn to being club members would being presenting themselves as a bribe more than something they feel from the heart.

Maybe a little explaination to those of which have not a clue about it? I have seen those for a long while, but as I only come to the Ask a Cuemaker section, machinery section and occasionally the cue gallery, I don't know what it is. I stay away from the main forum due to my belief that no good will come out of it.
Is it a membership fee? does it have privilages (as it seems to imply)?
What are the requirements to join? Will joining get us a seperate section as Dave is asking for, and most seem to support?

One question I have is, what's the ruling if you are selling something in your signature????? That should be a big no no, as it will be advertised in every wrong section that you post in! Unless you only post in the F/W section, but a lot of people do it, even the Mod is doing it, how can that be right? Not picking a fight, but, come on......how about leading by example. If your going to clean this up, then it should be done everywhere to everyone to be fair.
Dave
Yes there is a annual fee to be a club member. Sometimes you get a little freebie gift of some type like a key chain. You get expanded PM storage. 150 messages total. I forget the other benefits. I don't know of any requirments to join. I also am not sying it would get sellers a separate forum. What I am saying is there is a way to support AZ financially each year and that those who are not supporting should carry very little weight in requests being made. I am not speaking for AZ, but just speaking as a businessman and thinking out loud about how I might perceive things if I was the owner of the site. The owners and moderators know how they want to run things. But if I owned the site and people who are planning to benefit financially from the site, wanted special things done for them, it would probably fall on deaf ears if they were not financially supporting the site.
Like I said, Just a thought.

Very good point. And that is how I feel. If people are not supporting the site from their heart, why should AZ offer special favors?

Thanks to all who have voted.

If you haven't voted yet we still have a little time left. Please do so while your here browsing and catching up on the latest fashions.

Wow.
In the main F/S section I had to go back 8 pages just to cover a single 24 hour period. 8 pages!

I went looking for building supplies and saw none, but maybe tips, in 8 pages.

Just sayin'.

Anybody here selling in the main section?

A sea of madness.......! Maybe....Just maybe.......it may change.

Kenny, everybody's vote makes a difference.

A big thank you to everyone who's voted so far.

Hopefully, the moderators will be gracious enough to make changes to accomodate the ever-changing marketplace. It looks like either #1 or #2 would satisfy most folks. I imagine most voted for #1 for the simplicity of it all without creating a new category.

If you haven't voted yet, please do so.
If you have voted, THANK YOU again.

Through your participation, the AZBilliards Forum is a better place.

This whole thing is crazy, I would love to know what secrets people think they are keeping.God love all the great Cuemakers here that are so free with thier knowledge. But lets be realistic, I can Google cue making supplies and get 650000 matches.Even the builders that dont want there sources named are telling the world how to build it. But like I say, if they didnt, There is only 649999 other places to get it. I just think this is all wasted

I for one am not above greasing a palm to get something done, but I'm not greasing anything without confirmation. Who knows, they could use this as a "membership bri..., er, drive", that should more than offset the hardship of modifying the software in the effort of keeping this section relevent.

Was this all for not? Is anyone listening?

I have "middle-child-syndrome" and feel no one is listening. Why did the powers-that-be listen to a couple of complaints and make a change but when we have over a hundred.....................nothing.

i dont care who posts what where or if anyone knows the cost. i charge my prices for my work and thats it. if some dont like it dont order a cue :-) i mean that in a nice way
