Does Anyone Here Shoot With A Cheapie Pool Cue?

Dufferin maple leaf

I'm shootin' with an old dufferin maple leaf that I got years ago. Had a $150 cuetec that someone stole from the room. It looked nicer that this ol maple leaf but I'm glad they took the cuetec.

As for the 'negative post' (no sense in repeating it by quoting it)

I was reading through this thread of nice comments and suggestions and then 'POW" I felt like I got punched in the gut. Just a total negative bunch of junk right out there...

You right, we all are entitled to our own opinion...Freedom of speech and all that jazz...

But we're not entitled to ruin others peoples days just because we want to dump a bunch of junk. You say, "don't listen to it" or "don't read" it"

Unfortunately, you don't know it's 'junk' until you've already listened or read...

Take your 'junk' somewhere else.

I had a friend once who had an inexpensive Viking and he broke with it one day and the forearm broke in a jagged pattern all the way through, they wouldn't replace it so he glued it and clamped it then played with it for several more years that way and he was a fantastic player.

I have a $40 Mcdermott C-3 (ok I bought it in the 80's), an old Viking, 2 Predators, an Espiritu, a Lishan, an $1100 Shurtz, and seveal Filipino cheapies. If I shot consistently enough to tell you which one I always play the best with I'd be out looking for action instead of here at my real job goofing off. Although I do use a Predator most often. At anything much over $100 the tip is gonna make more difference than the cue itself.

I agree with this post entirely, some rep points are heading your way :)

I've decided to go with the basic cue stick and am just gonna change the cue tips to Kamui or something like that, and shoot with it, as I've had many high end cues and although my favoutire cue stick was a custom cue by Carolina Cues, I simply haven't got the bankroll to afford one and so, I'm just going to make the most of a basic cue stick and make the most of it :)

If you are interested in an inexpensive cue that will serve you well please shoot me a PM. I have quite a few imported Palmers to choose from.
I have been selling them for 10 years. I hand pick my stock and know how to find the good ones. It really is kind of like a custom cue maker selecting the best wood to start with.;)
