Does anyone know Jun Almoite from Sacramento, CA?

Hi everybody! First time poster here but long time lurker.

I am posting today because I need help in locating this person. Jun Almoite is a Filipino ex-pro player. He is listed in the azbilliards website in the players listing.

I met him a few months ago thru another friend and he seemed like a nice guy. He borrowed a couple of cues from me and a lot of my Accu-stats video collection. He also borrowed money from me which he promised to pay back within a month but he kept giving me excuses each month and it's been 3 months now.

You probably know where this is going.. yes, he is gone and I have been unable to contact him for more than a month now. His cellphone number is disconnected and he no longer resides in the same address.

I asked around the poolhalls where he frequents here in Sacramento but he hasn't been there since the last time I saw him. He is a member of USPPA and the last record of him playing was 7/24 and 7/27 in Fairfield, CA which is about an hour away from the Sacramento area.

He knows my phone number and my address. The least he could have done was tell me he was moving or at least call me and gave me his new phone number. I'd hate to think that he is trying to con me because he is a fellow Filipino.

If anyone knows or seen him lately, please PM me. I desperately need the money he borrowed from me and I would also like to get my other stuff back.

Here's more info about Jun Almoite (not ALMONTE). He is Filipino, medium build and he is bald(ing). He used to have a business here in Sacramento called Denture World which is a dental laboratory.

These are the pool halls he "used" to frequent but has been AWOL:

Sounds like you are learning an expensive lesson. But one you will never forget. I suspect that even when you find him, you will not get any money back, maybe a cue if you're lucky.

You'll see him again someday. And then it will be up to you on how to handle it. I'm sure he will be afraid when he sees you. I have some recommendations, but you will have to PM me. They are not for publication.
 
Thanks Jay. You are absolutely right, it is a learning experience for me. It drives me mad how some people can repay kindness with something like this person has done to me. I hope that I do see him someday but I wouldn't know how I will handle it until it happens. I hope I can stay cool and civilized.

I managed to get a hold of Jun Almoite albeit by phone only. I tracked him down to Fairfield Billiards which is about an hours drive from where I live. If it was closer, I would have gone there myself. He told me that he will come to my house and return the stuff and pay back some of the money he owes (in installments) but he never did. Again, I was duped!... and the bad thing is.. he probably won't be back to Fairfield billiards anymore since I've tracked him down there. Of course, he did not give me any contact info.. just excuses like he doesn't have a cellphone and that he is temporarily staying at a relative's house and is moving out on the weekend... there's just so much I can do on the phone.

If you see him, please let me know. I will continue to track him down and hopefully next time, I will get him face to face.

Jun Almoite is bad news. Tell all your friends...
