Does anyone offer two piece 52" cues at 19 oz.?
Does anyone make an inexpensive two piece 52" cue that weighs 19 oz.? I'd like to find a basic sneaky pete and it doesn't need to be anything special. I play on a few leagues and have found some bars with the dreaded wall too close situation and would love to be able to just use a junior cue at those locations. I'm not too picky about my cues. At home I usually practice with an 'action' bar cue and on the road I use a nick varner sneaky that I got at an auction for $25.

Idea

You could look for a cheap jump cue (change the tip) and use that .Their usually shorter..........Hope this helps...........Ray

Thanks 3andstop, interesting set of cues, that could work. The 52" looks like it would do the trick and has the right weight. I hate to have to buy the other 3 cues in the package but it does look like you could fine tune by mix and matching the butts and shafts though.

Look at these: http://www.ozonebilliards.com/action-52-inch-junior-cue-sneaky-pete.html

The last cue on the list is the one I bought for my grandson and it is a pretty nice cue. I was totally happy with it when I got it. And......I used to take it to this one bar I sometimes played at and used it when the wall was too close to the table. Worked perfect for that!!!

thanks maniac. the action cue from ozone would be great. one common problem I see...how can these companies consider themselves billiard equipment dealers and make no mention of cue weight? is that not an important consideration in pool?!

onefortheroad...Nope! Cue weight doesn't affect how somebody plays. The weight that "feels best" is subjective to the individual. Most players, pro or amateur, play with cues weighted from 18-20 oz.

I guess what I'm saying is that I've used 19 oz. cues my whole life, and that's what "feels best" to me. Doesn't seem like wanting to know a cues weight before purchase is much to ask for, especially from a big billiards equipment dealer. I think that I could probably shoot with a 52" cue and not notice much difference if it weighs the same as my other cues.
@scott lee - you say that weight doesn't affect how somebody plays? I do think I could get used to a different weight with some practice. But it seems like if I handed a decent player, that's used to a 20oz cue, a 14oz cue they might end up getting a few bad shapes or even miscue a few times for a few games and I wouldn't be surprised if they said it's because of the cue weight? Maybe it's just in my head, and I don't doubt you know a heck of a lot more than me about this. That's why you teach pool and I am but a "student". Do you recommend using various weight cues from night to night?

I bought a Players or Action Cue that was 52" and 18 oz. I think there were 19 oz available.

I have to wonder why you would want one specifically. At that length, weight would be the oddest of concerns, IMO. I bought the cue cuz it was inexpensive and my daughter at the time was little. Today, she's not so little.

I still have it if you're interested.
