it is a large black bear. cue has a flat faced joint and a radial pin.

There was a German company, maybe O Ortman? that made a line of Billiard products called Bear but the logos don't match. I am wondering if this is a logo?
 
Uncored Tulipwood cue with a flat face w/w joint. I bet that rosewood cue plays sweet!
 
I saw an almost identical cue last night with a goose instead of a bear. so I assume it is not a logo, just an inlay. The owner has no idea who made his cue either.

That's no logo, the Bear cues from (I think) germany have a much smaller logo. How do they find cues but have no idea who made it? ebay?
 
Based on info. from a fellow AZ'r the Bear &Ortmann cues are made by KPS in Taiwan/China. Same company makes Falcons. Cue pictured IS a cue with a bear but its not a "Bear" cue. Confused yet?
 
This isn't a "Bear" cue that is made by KPS/Falcon. That logo was similar to the old Falcon logo. It was a bear standing inside of a racking triangle. I think the logo has switched to pure script, like the new Falcons.

This is definitely an Asian made cue. Based on the pin, it isn't from KPS or Taican (or whatever that new name is....). This would, most likely, be made by the same group as the 5280 cues. It has the modified radial. More threads than a standard radial.
