Does this ad bother you?

Does this type of advertising bother you, that which includes an F-bomb?

Maybe you'd be happier on a Pickleball forum. Pocket billiards is a game often played in drinking establishments among gamblers. Deception, strong language, and drunkenness are table stakes. An IMPLIED swear word is nothing.
It's nothing to you, but may be something to others. Also, I don't want to play pickleball, I love the game of pool. Implying and saying the very word are equal in my mind. When I am playing with my friends League or casual, I use the f word often enough, I just like to show respect when in certain types of company by not using the word. In other words, I show respect for others boundaries until I know them better. Thanks for your response though.

It neither offends nor impresses me. I thought by the thread title it was going to be a far more inflammatory word fully spelled out.

Ok, rethinking my original post, I would like to have rephrased it to something like this:
"Does this method of advertising, specifically the F-bomb, make for an ethical approach?"
Not any better. What you should have done is just made the personal decision not to buy from them and not go whine about the ills of modern society on a forum full of poolplayers who happen to be a TAD more thickskinned than you. ;)

You go on a open forum full of poolplayers with a can of gas and light this lame dumpsterfire. Don't get all butthurt when you get called out on it. See an ad you don't like WALK but don't turn it into some sort of metaphor for your perception of the ills of modern society. What really makes ME mad is just how thin-skinned people are today. People get offended by the lamest shit.

This seems to really bother you. Maybe you aren't as thick skinned as you like to think.

Let's flip the question: Did this ad make anyone decide to buy a cue? Did anyone feed the daaaaawg?

Well the conversation must have been important enough to you, after all, you posted in the thread. Thanks for advising me on what I should have done, you sound so sage like.

Does this ad bother you? It contains an F-bomb within its body of text, and seems a bit inappropriate due to the fact it reaches all facets of society. Some people might not think twice about it, but others may think it's inappropriate. It just seems a bit unprofessional to me.
I don't see the problem unless you're looking for stuff to be upset over. How someone decides to attract attention to their company on crazy black Friday is up to them. All retailers pull out the stops. Gotta stand out somehow. If it backfires, you've learned a valuable lesson about the gen pops moral line. Don't do it next year. Lol.
Offensive?? Depends on how you were raised and what you deem acceptable or not. Potato, Potatoe. Pick your battles.
Buy or don't buy. They'll get the message, one way or the other.

I don't buy shit based on ads unless its just alerting me to a price. I could not care less what use/abuse of the English language some ad-man dreams up. People get butthurt over such nitty shit these days. That's the only thing that bothers me. BTW, there's this new miracle drug called GROWACET, looks like a few need to try it out.

well, It got your attention. : )
It got my attention like the Liberty Mutual commercials do. I dont see me ever getting LM insurance. Any business that advertises unethically carries it over to their other business practices .

I am one who hates this political correctness movement that's going on these days, but this is a bit different to me.

Tell us how this miracle drug works out for you.

Doesn't bother me at all and your poll shows you are in the minority. People are far too sensitive. In this situation you made a conscious choice to be offended when no offense was intended. Feel free not to deal with Pool dawg if you wish, but the world would be a better and happier place if people would lighten up.

This statement is even more ridiculous than your original. Ethical? Are you kidding? In the name of all that's holy please stop.

If it bothers you that much where you are begging me to stop, why do you even come into the thread and post about it? It's just a thread to pass a little time and the talk over pool related things, relax and just move on.
