Tournaments a week, with nice payouts to three places? A 9 ball and a One pocket tournament? That is correct, no entry fee whatsoever! Nine ball tournament on Tuesday night and One pocket tournament on Friday! Buffalo's Billiards is the Worlds Pool Hall, Period!!! Most weight given is some players get the 8 ball.In the 9 ball tournament. More weight is given in the One pocket tournament. Thanks for your input.

Free,shit lock,my pool room dont even have the ones that u got to pay for,they used to have them years ago(not free)when our pool room cared about pool and the players,now all they care about is the poker machines and the suckers that play them,get this(you r not allowed to smoke in pool rooms in balto)but if you play the machines in our room they will allow u to smoke,now if u r playing pool they wont let u smoke,whats that tell you,f the pool players,they love the poker machine(fruit machines)suckers!

On Airline Drive in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. I thought everybody knew where the World's Pool Hall was located!!! Thanks.

Hmmm-

Maybe they make it up in food and drink sales. That owner may be both a generous and smart guy. Those mid week activities could work for everybody while waiting for the weekend crowd to get there.

Sounds like a win-win for everybody-that works. Good deals are hard to come by these days. This sounds like a room to support.:D

Tournaments

Never heard of having a tournament with no entry fee .... lol

The Pool room I go to, Stix Billiards, does pretty good though. They have an 8 ball tournament on Friday and Saturday night starting at 10pm.. They are handicapped from 2-6, and the owner matches the entry fees. They usually get from 12 to 25 players for each tournament.

Then on Sunday night at 8:30pm, they have a 9 ball tournament, race to 3 and again match the pot.

To further entice you, Joe has his tables at .50 a game. These are the best weekly tournaments in Wichita.

One other mention, is every 3rd Saturday of the month, Shooters alternates between 8 and 9 ball every other month with a $20 entry fee tournament up to 32 players. It pays 150%, and also has a calcutta.
8 ball is a race to 5, 9 ball is a race to 7.

Ok thanks, that explains why I never heard of it. Not exactly anywhere close for me. :)

I like anything free when it has something to do with pool, this Buffalo's Billiards sounds better all the time, so maybe next spring when I get out on the road again I'll swing by The World's Pool Hall and hang out a couple of three weeks!:smile:
