Hey everybody this is going to act as our master list for those who are donating to the 2010 Valley Forge 14.1 Challenge.

We have some amazing sponsors this year as we did last year and I cant wait to see what we can accomplish this year.

Please understand I know the economy is bad for everyone and more importantly that anything you can do even if it is just time at the booth is more than appreciated guys. This event is going to run around 6 thousand dollars althogether just to produce this year and we are running at a good clip in terms of putting it together so far.

We would liek to have about 6 booths and 4 tables. That way certain initiatives can be put into place. This of course will cost more money on the preparation side but I feel that we have to expand this event to its maximum potential.

We are so lucky to have the support of this forum and all of you.

Another fine straight pool event.

Charlie: times are tough and I can't throw any dough at you just yet.

I am trying to make stone soup, if I could find some villagers with vegetables.

Hope, however, springs eternal and I would be surprised if I could not help out before the time comes. Right now I am concentrating on Derby.

I'll try to get the IBC and Red Shoes involved again, too.

Kudos to you for all you are doing for the sport. :thumbup2:

Today

Charlie:
Mailed it out today.

I hope that I have not missed the info. but can you tell me about the armature competition. Is it a separate thing from the Pros.? Will armatures only compete against armatures?

This year there will be a separate competition for the amateurs. However when a person of amateur status signs up they will have the option to either go up against the pros or the amateurs. They can choose what side they want to go on. I know last year a lot of people weren't happy that they felt like they were donating to the pros so I decided to switch it up a bit.

I have some more things in the works too that in the next few weeks should come to the surface.

Thanks so much for sending out your donation.

Thanks

Thanks Charlie for answering my question. I would love to some how give
the amateur competition a try. If I can find the time to get out that way. Never did anything like that before. Sounds like it would be worth the experience.

Ill tell you what we all had a blast, I mean watching John Schmidt Thorsten Charlie Williams Easy E Henry and all the boys play and hang out was amazing.

You will absolutely love it. Playing on that Diamond nine footer downstairs in front of the crowd etc is amazing and its such a boost to have everyone there rooting for you especially Steve Heather and myself as we are all friends here !!!

Trigger asks-
Do you take paypal?

Hey Trigger, No unfortunately hit me up via PM and we can discuss !! Thanks Gorgeous !!!

FG516-

Verdict?

P/pal is a popular payment mechanism. It might add a convenience factor that could help in soliciting donations to support the cause.

Note-I am not, and have never been gorgeous-but , agree that Trigger is.

Take care

I apologize for anyone's inconvenience with us not taking paypal for this event. I have had several incidents with paypal in the past and I will not trust it for anything having to do with this event. If that dissuades anyone from not donating then so be it.

I appreciate everyone who has donated thus far and cant' wait to see how far it actually goes. I just received Gene J Mann's check for $100.00 today as a matter of fact !!!!
