Donation List for the 2011 Valley Forge 14.1 Challenge

Hey everyone,

Fury and Sterling Gaming would like to donate a couple of our Evolution Series cues to be raffled off with 100% of the proceeds going towards the event. In addition we will also raffle off a couple J.Flowers Tribute cue cases, a couple Wave cases, and maybe one unique JB Case if I can get one done in time.

Here is my problem in a nutshell. PayPal has rules against accepting payments for raffles. I have had the same PP account for more than a decade and I don't want to put it at risk.

So how can we conduct raffles for these items without it going through PayPal?

Altogether we are talking about $3-4,000 in revenue that could go to the event.

We have 8 weeks so I am hoping to get started on this immediately if possible.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.\

Hey JB,

I Think it is amazing what you are doing for the event, you are really stepping up big time !

I Have never run a raffle here on AZ, but i have participated in a few. are you talking like the ones that are in the Raffle section of the wanted/for sale, where the Megaball from Megamillions drawing is used ?

I Could suggest you talk to Fast Lenny here on AZ, he just ran a succesful raffle using PayPal. I am sure he can guide you through the guidlines on how to set it up so your PayPal doesnt get affected.

Lenny Is Good Peeps, mention that i recomended him !

Thanks Again !

Thank you Steve, Lenny gave me the advice I need. I appreciate the tip. I will be starting these raffles in the Raffle section soon and will post the link here.

Raffles ???? Any news JB?

"Raffles ????" -- that sounds like a Russian asking for a bag of a particular brand of potato chips...

( :p to Vahmurka.)

All kidding aside, I think a raffle is a great idea! The "Raffles" forum gets a lot of traffic, obviously -- a lot more than 14.1 for sure! More visibility = more eyes = more sales.

Guys a HUGE shout out goes out to my Amsterdam peeps Danny Barouti and Brian Lau for their incredible donations as well as our very own and probably one of my favorite players to watch Steve Lipsky for their donations to this year's Fury 14.1 Challenge.

Guys let me tell you its people like Steve Danny and Brian that keep NY straight pool going and at the pace of an olympic track runner. Steve just took down both the Society Billiards and Amsterdam Billiards Straight Pool Titles !!

Thanks again guys and I am sorry for the late post been busy as hell lately !!! Looking forward to seeing everyone down there.

Charlie,

I sent you a check, which should arrive soon. You, Steve, and Heather deserve a lot of credit for your hard work and dedication! You all seemed sleep-deprived ... but enthusiastic! ... during last year's event.

See you next week!

All the best,
Larry Moy
