All,

As promised, here is a video collection of Donny and I playing this last Sunday (6/20/2010)

The spot was the Breaks and the Last 5, 10ball.

This is certainly not my best performance. The reason I bang my head against the wall playing with Donny is there is absolutely nothing that highlights what you need to work on in your game like playing someone who doesnt make any mistakes. (Apparantly I need to work on everything. :-D )

While this video is no evidence of the fact, I am playing some pretty good pool right now. :p:p

I do not want to take anything away from Donny, as he is playing as well as I have ever seen him play.

Since I pay good money to watch him run out, I thought I would share this with the Community.

This was recorded with a Flip Video Ultra HD and there is 2 hours of footage. The movie had to be broken up into 10 minute chunks due to youtube size restrictions.

A few more pieces should be uploaded each day, and I will bump this post as I add more.

Enjoy the heist!

Is this a roundabout knock thread complete with spot information and video?

you can upload it at Vimeo, it´s free and you can upload 500 MB per week.

These videos are all recorded in 720p, so two hours is about 8GB.

Youtube restrictions are based on the length of the video. Free accounts are only allowed videos that are less than 10 mins.

I have been so impressed with Donny Mills, for a player that does not travel much I dont know why sponsors are not beating his door down.

You don't play bad at all. You do need to work on your 10-ball break a little though.

Yeah, I agree 100% there.

Believe it or not, this is a dramatic improvement over the last time we played though.

When I hit the ball good, about 50% of the time over this video set, I am making a ball pretty consistently.

I need to start drawing the CB back though. The 1ball always ends up around that bottom rail.

First of all, thanks for posting the videos! I look forward to seeing the rest.

You can get an immediate increase in power on your break by not elevating you cue so much. You're wasting alot of energy putting the CB in the air like that.

Also, you may find it easier to get more power with a more upright stance instead of your normal low shooting position.

I need to start drawing the CB back though. The 1ball always ends up around that bottom rail.
Putting draw will kill your speed even more because less energy goes into moving the ball forward the farther off-center you strike it to spin the ball. I've drawn back in 9-ball before on tables where that happened consistently, but 9-ball breaks are less about power and more about reading the rack. It doesn't seem like a good trade-off for 10-ball where it's hard just to make a ball to begin with.
