Thanks, again, for the reminder. Not the best pool, but a funny moment when Earl thought he had won when he reached 9 games. The finals was a race to 11. The look on Shawn's face when Earl went to shake his hand was priceless.

Again, congratulations to Earl.

Didn't create many new fans?

I just caught the last half of it. And felt that I was wasting my time. Perhaps I'm a pool nut that prefers something different that the casual sports junkie that is watching on tv (and who prob doesn't play often). But, it was so edited that you couldn't appreciate a player running a table. I did like the fact that they edited it so that each shot was short and you didn't have to wait for the player to decide how to shoot each shot. Also, it didn't help that the match was a runaway win (and appeared that Putnam just quit - well, at least on his final shot).

It is just hard to believe that any casual watcher was really moved to run down to the local pool hall to shoot a few balls tonight after watching it. Thank God for internet streams.

Unfortunately I agree, and the commentary was done on the edited tape. I appreciate the opportunity to watch it and certainly the sponsorship of the Seminole tribe but it was pretty bland.
