Double Silver Rings

I'll tell you what's ugly, the new Mezz cues have big white rings next to the silver rings on either end of the wraps. UGGGGGG-LY!!!!

Depends on the cue. I like stacked rings. At the joint and butcap positions. One fat one- skinny. Triple stacked two silver one copper or brass. Not at the handle tho. Worse than nickel is the white dashes in black phenolic. Those trim rings have ruined plenty of high dollar cues looks. At least nickel trim always looks good

I don't think they are rings. I haven't had one re wrapped but I suspect they might use Juma for the whole handle. EC9-axi. Not certain on that tho. (Their wraps are done too nice just to cut off to see) lol

Goto Mezz USA and look at their new cues. Whatever those white bands are on either end of the wrap it definitely takes away from the beauty. They even put the model number on the lower white ring/band in black letters. Looks cheesy af imo lol.
It's like putting bumper stickers on a Mercedes.

The white rings on the Mezz joints signify it is a Mezz wavy joint as opposed to a Mezz united joint, which has silver rings only. This actually makes perfect sense to me and I like it.

Extra rings cost more, they add more time to the job and they look great to many people. What a pleasure it is when I add them.

Sent one out last month with the triple ring pattern, his Friend contacted me and ordered another one with triple rings.

Rings rock, good day.

Single and thin ones. Like every cheap Chinese cue. They just look right.

I have 4 mezz cues.. I like the look of the wavy joint rings they have the same above and below the wrap. But I kindof thing the thick white band above the wrap and below is the handle.(if the whole handle under the wrap is juma) . They make the best cue for under 600 they gotta be as efficient and consistent as possible I suppose juma is probably extremely consistent weight wise and It supposedly machines very well

I went with simple ring work on my Rauenzahn double full splice.

I'm dipping my toe in carbon fiber. I like my stuff to match so I'm having the ring wrk added to my Cuetec Cynergy shaft. It's almost done, just need the weather to warm a bit so the finish can be applied.

But they are all the rage with Ford drivers.

Until you actually see the design, it’s hard to condemn stacked nickel rings……Prewitt designs use it magnificently.
I think it adds a distinct look & the mm width (nothing over 3 mm) has a lot to do with the final design appearance.

All the truly great cue makers employed this design in so many of their designs that to me really says a real mouthful.
In deference to Tom, because you like the look & fragrance of a bouquet of flowers doesn’t mean everyone else would.

Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder so when it comes to cues and cue makers, it becomes a matter of tastes.

I've always liked this style of trim. Not very common anymore either. Always looks good on a spliced cue with matching veneers...simple and clean

I have no issue with ringwork that has silver on each side like the above pics. I mean when there are only two silver rings, or for that matter 3 as well.

The white bands are on the new United jointed cues too.
Goto Mezz USA and browse the NEW cue lines.
The white bands I'm talking about are the huge ones on either end of the wrap. They put these NEXT to the nice silver ringwork! Ugly!
I was gonna buy a new Mezz but those bands turned me off

I’m not a fan of Bushka rings…metal tends to expand and contract at a different rate than….I’ve seen many where I could feel the ring.
I much prefer stitched rings….the ones on my 55 year old Joss haven’t moved yet.

Nah. Simplicity exudes class. It's like a great pair of jeans or a little black dress. Let the rings accentuate the beauty, not distract.

I was glad I bought an EC7 before they were all gone as I agree with you the white rings on the new mezz cues are terrible. Mine does have the two silver rings near the joint (1 thick, 1 thin) and I really like that look.
